TV REVIEW | Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1 -- RIP Luke Perry Well, this was a heavy episode. I love Riverdale. I love how over the top this show is and how this show does not make any sense. I love how the show runners are fully aware of how ostentatious they can be with the story line. And for all the criticism of Riverdale having bad writing this season premiere episode was in pure and respectable taste. Not only for the character of Fred Andrews but for Luke Perry.
