When Happy Days premiered in 1974, it was trounced in its Tuesday 8pm time slot by another sitcom: Good Times. In fact, Good Times was the 7th most popular show of the season, coming in higher than '70s classics like The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Bob Newhart Show. Fifty years later, the show was celebrated with a special panel at Gallatin Comic Con, where Bern Nadette Stanis, who played teenage daughter Thelma Evans on the show, shared her memories of working with her on-screen mother, the late Esther Rolle.

Good Times is currently streaming on Peacock and Amazon Freevee and is available on DVD and most digital platforms.

I always tell myself to not get too emotionally attached to old series and shows from the 60s, 70s and 80s cause eventually that will make me feel old, sad and terribly nostalgic (especially when I'm 40+ years late!) but I really cannot help it.

Sometimes I just wish I had experienced them when they came out, with the rest of the world.
