One of my good friends @seeksstaronmewni on Tumblr has noticed a difference in character designs between Season 1 and 2-4. Many S1 episodes have Star and Marco with many cartoony facial expressions. However in Season 2-4, he notices the designs (even with Star's facial expressions) appear similar to Gravity Falls, as Star looks like Mabel in terms of bulging cheeks. Watch "Starstruck" and "Collateral Damage" both boarded by Tyler Chen and you'll seek. They are more look like the boarders' style.

Thanks for the insight, @rwinger24 and @seeksstaronmewni. I personally am not really the type to catch animation differences, but I'm glad you were able to.
