Sam and Dean's conversation after Sam says a bunch of shitty things to Dean under the influence of a ghost in 1x10 Asylum:
SAM: I'm sorry, man. I said some awful things back there. DEAN: You remember all that? SAM: Yeah. It's like I couldn't control it. But I didn't mean it, any of it. DEAN: You didn't, huh? SAM: No, of course not! Do we need to talk about this? DEAN: No. I'm not really in the sharing and caring kinda mood. I just wanna get some sleep.
Note: Dean knows that Sam did in fact mean what he said.
Sam and Dean's conversation after Sam says a bunch of shitty things to Dean under the influence of a siren in 4x14 Sex and Violence:
SAM: Dean, look, you know I didn't mean the things I said back there, right? That it was just the siren's spell talking? DEAN: Of course, me too.
Note: Dean again knows that Sam did in fact mean what he said.
Sam after Dean rages at him under the influence of a specter in 8x06:
DEAN: Look, man, I don't even remember what I said, but, uh – SAM: But what? But you didn't mean it? Oh, please. You and I both know you didn't need that penny to say those things. [Insert rant about how Sam was "upfront" about not giving enough of a shit to look for Dean but DEAN *looks at notes* kept secrets by befriending Benny.] [Insert rant about how Dean is mean for bringing up how Sam abandoned him on like three different occasions] [Insert threat to leave if Dean ever talks about it again] [Insert threat to murder Benny]
Eddie’s heart doesn’t slow down. Not with the beer and not with the thirty seconds of rest—or sixty, or a hundred and twenty. The music keeps going—rolls onto the next track; he doesn’t turn it down, and Buck doesn’t ask him to.
Buck didn’t come here to talk—Eddie knew that from the second he opened the door—so he doesn’t ask.
The warmth next to him is comforting, as always—but it’s also heavy—a different kind of warmth to the one still somewhat fluttering in his chest.
Buck will tell him what’s wrong—in two minutes, or in two hours—and Eddie will listen.
Then they’ll go from there.
Not right this second—but soon.
Soon.
if buck and eddie weren’t in love, eddie would’ve opened the door in his underwear and buck would’ve looked down and laughed a little bit and shaken his head and gone “seriously, man?” and eddie would’ve said “i don’t have to wear pants in my own home, buckley” and buck would’ve walked in and said “you could’ve put some on before opening the door!” and eddie would’ve sat next to him on the couch and said “and left you waiting out there all forlorn? i would never” and they would’ve kept bantering as the audio slowly faded out
