and I have heard stories about Vimes. mostly about things getting arrested that typically do not get arrested. resident stubborn badass of the law? something about a lady who likes dragons? and other such things))

((I know of them though am not fully entirely readerly acquainted yet. I do plan to be once I am less of a complete human disaster that procrastinates fun things like reading...

A small handful of the Rincewind books gotta pick back up finishing Sourcery ha h plus stuff I’ve picked up from just generally around and it looks like such a fun universe but also a large and involved universe, generally not inclined towards use by my casual uninformed noob-ishness at this point in time))

He was in the middle of some kind of schematic. Papers splayed across the table he was standing over, leaning on, pencil tapping against from his idle finger-twitching

Didn’t mean the young man’s entrance wasn’t a welcome break. Doc looked up, down, then up again but this time with recognition. He strode across the room and had looped an arm around Victor’s narrow shoulders before the poor fellow could do much about it.

“Victor! I hadn’t expected to see you back here quite so soon. How are you holding up?” He pushed his friend back to arm’s length. “You look exhausted.”

ohhhh…. Gotcha. I am… Currently not entirely sure tbh. Old flames of Doc’s is kinda one of those weird schrodinger’s headcanons, yknow? Realistically he might’ve had them he’s been alive for like 70 years but at the same time he could be one of those sorts of people who wouldn’t seek out a romantic partner so much as get hit sideways by one. Edna was the driving force in his first relationship, and the whole “at first sight” business led to his current. Unless he’s really head-over heels, the other person’s gonna be initiating it, at which point he will almost 98% probably go along with it because he’ll be too “?!?!?!?!?!?!?SURE OKAY??” to answer much otherwise.

But anyway... Got off track there I guess... If he did teach there, and there were a manipulative miss Jill Wooster there at the same time, I could see that being pretty much how that all went down, and that he’d never speak of it again afterwards.

Other than that I-... I’m really not sure my thoughts on that for the moment. I’m sure though if I think of anything else or the headcanon starts to warm up to me, I’ll ramble much more about it...))

     “YOU’RE OVER THINKING IT, VIC. We just need to make sure we cover all the brown at my roots, and run it through the rest of my hair. Easy peasy.” She’s got her head bent over the sink, hair flipped over. She’s already done most of the work, but he insisted on helping- so, she’s let him. His touch is gentle through her hair, but she’d expect no less. She just hopes he’s actually getting it all in there...

She looks apprehensive for a moment, checking the time on her phone. She’s got an hour and a half before work- and she can always do her homework when she gets home. Clicking the power button on her phone, she slides it into her jacket pocket and stands up. “Yeah- I think I have time to spare for that. Might do me some good to just...relax.”
