Minoletta’s Piercing Sigil

8th-level Abjuration

Casting Time: Bonus action

Range: self

Components: V, S

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Description: You wrap yourself in bands of deadly force, ready to retaliate against anyone who gets too close. Whenever you take damage from a melee attack, you may use your reaction to lash out at the attacker. Make a melee spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 8d6 piercing damage, is pushed 15 ft. away from you, and is stunned until the end of your next turn unless it succeeds on a Constitution saving throw. You make your concentration check against taking damage after you take this reaction.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a 9th level spell slot, the piercing damage increases to 10d6

Steam Augury (8th Level, Divination)

Casting Time: 10 minutes

Range: Self

Components: V, S

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hr.

Classes: Cleric

You coat one hand in flame and the other in water, and crash the two together, generating a powerful cloud of steam. As the cloud slowly dissipates, you watch its movements for any sign of a pattern, detecting in its subtle movements vision of the future. When you cast this spell, roll 5d20, and choose and record one result. Then choose attack roll, saving throw, or ability check. For the duration of the spell, whenever you make a roll of the chosen type, you can instead choose to use the recorded result in place of the roll, allowing the possible futures you have seen to guide you.
