Day 490: The Brief (but Exciting) Tale of Ephram P. Thunderbolt Yo. Here’s another predominantly 9 string guitar song for y’all. The drums are just FL Studio, as is the piano (using my favorite upright piano plugin), but everything else is 9 string guitar: the bass parts, the ostinato (or maybe more pedal tone) part, and the 3 lead tracks toward the end (which sound very Thundercat-y, much to my delight). The one note part of this song ended up being a lot harder for me than I thought, simply because of the speed and the fact that it was in 7, but I wanted something with a constant measure long part under almost the whole thing (the pedal tone guitar part and the piano) that everything else could build around. I decided that it sounded kinda lightning-y so..... yeah. Hope You Like It!!! Justice McWoooooooooo
Day 487: Corpulent Dreams Woooooooooooo! Ok, so- I have a 9 string guitar:
...and it is amazing (albeit challenging to adapt to). This is the first thing I wrote on it, and also the first thing I finished recording. This is a simple little song made using only 4 tracks of 9 string (bass part, baritone picking part, lead, and ghost/drone guitar part) and one track of Casio PT-82 drums. The effects on all this are mostly Cubase plugins, with the exception of the distortion and drone on ghost guitar, which is a TO-800 and Freeze pedal, respectively.
