here you go!!! hope u like it!! also this hasn't been edited so any mistakes I'm sorry !!
it's a nightly occurrence, sasha realises, marcy's feet pattering down the corridor, the sound of wheels following her, and her door being cracked open. she thought she would be annoyed by the constant waking up, but for some odd reason, when marcy's head pokes into her hospital room and asks to come in, sasha can't help but smile.
it's no different this night, not really.
sasha doesn't sleep much anyway, so when she hears the telltale sounds of marcy making her way down the corridor, she's already sat up. this time though, anne is with her, having also woken up and found her room on her wandering. sasha supposes it's a good thing she's easy to find, that her room is down a main corridor.
when marcy stops outside her door, sasha waves and anne smiles weakly. marcy appears to take a deep, shuddering breath before she opens the door.
"hey mars," sasha says quietly, the same way she always does. already shuffling over to make space for marcy to fit.
"sasha," the word comes as a huff of air, as though marcy's surprised to find her here. "sasha," she says again, voice shaking.
both anne and sasha sit up, worry running down their spines as marcy continues to tremble by the door. "you can come in, marcy." anne is careful, as she slides off the end of sasha's bed and pads over to marcy. she reaches out gently, placing a hand on top of marcy's shoulder.
at the touch, marcy flinches and a sob claws it's way out of her throat before she can stop it. "i'm sorry," she cries, knees buckling under her.
"marcy!" sasha shouts, wishing she could do something more than sit there and watch.
anne can though, and with every ounce of strength left in her body, she lifts marcy and guides her to the bed, making sure to bring the iv line with her.
"what happened, marbles?" anne asks as she crawls back onto the bed.
marcy doesn't respond, her loud sobs echoing through the room as she reaches blindly for sasha. apologies pouring out of her like a stream. "i'm so, so sorry, sashy!"
"what for, marsbar?" sasha tries, bringing her hands up to pull marcy close. her brows furrowing in worry as anne bites her lip. "you don't need to apologise."
"i do, i do!" marcy shakes her head, guilt rolling off her in waves. "i hurt you. i hurt you and i'm so sorry," her cries shoot through sasha like a knife.
"no," sasha says firmly, gently cupping her hands around marcy's face. "marcy look at me," she pauses, "please."
brown eyes meet blue as marcy finally pulls away from sasha's chest, sniffling as she looks up at her friend.
"you didn't hurt me. you never have. whatever that thing did to anyone is not your fault, alright? it was evil and did evil things, but you mars? you are so full of love and kindness and everything good in the world, i know you didn't do this. i know that because i know you, marcy wu." sasha smiles, a small, tired smile full of all the love in her heart.
"and i forgive you," she says and marcy's open mouth closes. "the only person left to forgive you is yourself, marbles."
"yeah," anne nods and continues the gentle motion of running a hand through marcy's hair. "we forgive you marcy, for everything."
"promise?" marcy whispers, arms tightening around sasha's waist.
"pinkie promise," sasha nods, brushing marcy's tears away.
"double pinkie promise," anne adds with a giggle.
"well, then i triple pinkie promise!" sasha shoots back, a playful scowl on her face.
"infinity pinkie promise!"
"that's not fair, annie!" sasha huffs with a pout.
"oh, don't be such a sore loser sash," anne laughs as sasha sticks her tongue out. "just admit i'm better than you."
"i would rather fight another war, boonchuy."
