RAVI IN EVERY EPISODE ⇢ Desperate Times [5x02]
What's usually said about Abby?
She is haunting the narrative, right?
Abby was with Tommy for two-something years. Their relationship affected her greatly.
Tommy left the 118 soon after. Was it because of their breakup? Who knows, maybe? But his absence opened the spot for Buck.
Abby was vulnerable and looking for validation, which she found in Buck, who she would not have met if he were at a different firehouse. She left him to find her own path after not just her mom's death, but the end of a long term relationship, which, if Tommy told her the reason he was ending it, may have made her question a lot of things.
Buck's relationship with Abby caused him to evolve what he wants out of a relationship. He grew into a person who wanted a long term relationship with Tommy.
Except Tommy is still stuck where he was. Buck could be the one to help him heal himself from his own trauma. A transformative relationship - Buck becomes Tommy's Abby.
The one haunting the narrative has been Tommy all along.
(tagging @itsametaphorok who came up with most of this)

911 & THE "Q" WORD ⇢ Jinx [4x06]
I'm all for theorizing and making shit up, but I don't really understand where the Buck and Tommy thing came from. Y'all were talking about it even before the episode?? How did you even really remember Tommy??
