I really think their mindset is all publicity is good publicity because everyone is still gonna tune in anyway because they’re desperate to know how it happens.

First of all nonny, I want to say that your feelings and worries and perspectives are valid. I just don't share them.

I've seen shades of these theories this morning, though @dana-duchovny and I had independently come up with them ourselves last night as all the spoiler bts stuff was dropping too. But here are our thoughts.

This is all a dream sequence (not sure if it's a hallucination or coma dream or just regular dream - but it's not real) from *Eddie's* perspective. That's why Eddie is the only one in civilian clothes. My guess is he's panicking about not being able to help the 118 during a major disaster, and imagining the worst case scenario for himself. That him not being there for the team will somehow cost Bobby his life, and send Buck down a dark spiral of depression.

Thats also why Tommy is there. More nightmare fuel for Eddie. Becauae why would Tommy be one of Bobby's pallbearers in real life??? In WHAT situation??? In this nightmare, Tommy is back with the 118, maybe partners with Buck. He's been replaced, he couldn't save Bobby. Just a really bad scene for Eddie all together, tbh.

I would put ALL my money on this being a dream. So much so that not a little part of me is worried. Maybe it's after eddie gets injured on his way back to help the team, or maybe it's a nightmare he has in El Paso where he's going insane staying back to be with Christopher, but then the nightmare will wake Chris up and he will give him his blessing to go back and help the firefam.

My money is also on Gerrard being the real one to die, explaining the Brad pic we saw.

Corroborating evidence: WAYYYYY too many cellphones allowed WAY too close to set. These weren't telephoto lens spoilers, people were literally just walking around with cell phones. No way. (Also, nonny, I'm positive that the 8x11 goodbye was leaked on purpose bc we already knew he was gonna leave it wasn't really a spoiler). Also, the pic with the firefam all acting silly and ott in that bts pic by bobbys casket? I don't think they'd joke like that if Bobby was actually gonna die. And then there is the interview Angela gave People magazine a few days ago about how she and Bobby would end up together (lol unless she is implying she would die too?), and the fact that I'm fairly positive they're filming 8x15 and there's NO WAY they'd kill Bobby on a random 15th episode.

Nope, call it delusion or whatever you'd like, but I'm happy over here in my belief that Bobby isn't going anywhere (yet). This is all just a big psych-out! Try not to worry too much!

Couch theory hmmmm how best to summarize.

There’s a lot more layers to this but on a base level:

Earlier this season, Buck is cooking for Eddie and Christopher (Lasagna and it’s his third try) when Christopher makes fun of him for not having a couch. Buck reveals that he associates his couches with his relationships and that he’s worried about picking a new one (couch/relationship).

In the last episode, we see that his mother (who he’s largely estranged from) has bought him a new couch. Try as he might, Buck can’t fall asleep on it both due to interruptions and apparent discomfort. When feed up with people visiting, he heads to Eddie’s where falls asleep on Eddie’s couch before Eddie even returns from the kitchen with drinks.

Buck’s actor (Oliver) has revealed that the couch Buck’s mom bought won’t last.

It might be a shock to you, because I’m a Buddie fan. But I want to be a Buddie fan that actively calls out those fellow “fans” who act like they are principal focus of the show & nobody else matters.

I’m friends with plenty of Buddie fans, who love and respect Maddie. I’m also friends with plenty on non-buddie fans, who have showed me nothing but kindness, despite not sharing the same interests. Do you know what they do that you don’t? They don’t actively bully fans because they have differing opinions.

Hi, thanks for your patience! It’s finally here :) it’s a little short but I kind of liked the way it ended.

“Fuck off, Eddie.”

“Huh, I didn’t know fuck off also meant thank you, Eddie, for caring enough to stay.”

Kneeling by Buck’s head, barely able to spot the blonde under his blankets, Eddie slipped his hand in and put it on Buck’s bare side, making him squirm and cry out.

“Eddie, we both know the second you get anywhere near me you’re gonna have it worse than me.”

“You’re not contagious, sweetheart. It’s been 24 hours on antibiotics. Will you just let me hold your hand at least?”

“No.”

Buck rolled over, away from Eddie, who sighed.

“Don’t make me get in there with you.”

“Don’t you- Eddie-“

Eddie tossed back the blankets, climbing on to the bed and tucking his sock covered feet against Buck’s bare ones, intertwining their legs. He pressed his lips to Buck’s temple, holding on tight when Buck tried to scramble to the other side of the bed.

“What if I was gonna barf again?” Buck asked as he finally melted into Eddie’s arms. Eddie rolled his eyes.

“I’ve seen you when you’re gonna hurl and that wasn’t it.”

Buck rolled over, chest to chest with Eddie, and buried his head in Eddie’s neck finally. Eddie brought a hand up to cup the back of his head, running his fingers through the tiny curls at the nape of his neck.

“Let me help you,” he whispered and Buck seemed to be battling internally.

“I don’t want you to get sick,” he murmured, feeling Eddie’s chest rumble with a laugh.

“If I get sick, then I expect soup and toast and cuddles.”

“Wow, Eddie Diaz is a cuddle monster.”

“I just want you happy and healthy,” Eddie said. That seemed to satisfy Buck for a moment, before he lifted his head.

“Have you been watching Dr Mike without me?”

“Christopher loves him too,” Eddie said as way of admittance and Buck smiled fondly, nuzzling his nose back against Eddie’s throat to distract him from the pain in his own.

“I’m really tired,” Buck admitted. Eddie’s hands moved to his hips.

“So sleep, sweetheart,” he said.

Closing his eyes, Buck did just that and Eddie leaned against him. They could stay like that a while longer.

The next time Buck woke it was later and his throat was on fire again. Eddie was gone and Buck looked up, trying to find him.

“Eds?” He called softly, and with no response drew his legs to his chest. He tried to cough but it made the pain worse and he scrambled for his phone. Just as he went to call Eddie the bedroom door opened and there was Eddie, a cup of something in his hand.

“Hey, sweetheart. You’re awake. I have pain meds and tea...”

Okay, that sounded heavenly to Buck. Reaching out, he threw the pills into his mouth and downed them with a swig of tea, not quite hot enough to burn but just warm enough to soothe. Eddie always made the best tea- Buck was convinced he’d been a tea maker in a past life.

“Do you feel nauseous at all? Or is it your throat?”

Buck pointed at his throat, unwilling to talk from the pain, and Eddie’s eyebrows furrowed.

“Okay, go back to sleep after your tea. I’m going to talk to Carla for a sec.”

He got up, poking his head out the bedroom door and calling for their friend. She came into the room and frowned.

“Are his glands up, Eddie?”

“I don’t know, I didn’t think to feel,” he admitted. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he gently felt under Buck’s jaw, following along the line to feel his glands. When he withdrew, his brows were furrowed.

“Yeah, they’re a little high. Do you think you could drop Chris at Abuela or Pepa’s, Carla? I don’t want him getting strep.”

“Of course, honey. You two keep me in the loop, okay?”

“Thanks Carla,” Buck croaked even though it hurt and she waggled her finger at him.

“And no sexual activities for at least another few days, okay Buckaroo?”

“Carla,” Buck groaned while Eddie flushed at least fifty shades of red and pink. Carla winked at Buck, quietly leaving the room and Eddie rubbed a hand on the back of his neck awkwardly. Buck took pity on him and kicked back the blankets, patting the space beside him. Eddie kicked off his shoes again, followed by his shirt and sweats. Carefully scooping Buck into his arms, Eddie pressed a kiss to his forehead, doing that dad thing where he was also feeling for a fever.

“Love you,” he whispered and Buck pressed in closer.

“I’m sure you won’t be saying that later when you’re as sick as me,” he whispered hoarsely and Eddie shrugged.

“Depends on how good your tea making skills are.”
