Forgive me for I am a sinner, Ya Ghaffaar, The Forgiver, I have stepped past the bounds of the scripture, Ya ‘Aleem, The Knower of All, I have torn the heart of Your greatest Prophet, Ya Mudhill, The Humiliator, Yet still You kept all my matters private, Ya Ghafoor, The Forgiving and Hider of Faults, How could I ever repay my thanks, Ya Shakoor, The Most Appreciative, When by this age I have lowered my ranks, Ya Khaafidh, The Abaser, On the Day that You will replay for mankind our clips, Ya Shaheed, The Witness, I hope to see mine only whispering Astaghfir through my lips, Ya Ra’oof, The Compassionate, And if there is a sin that You cannot overlook, Ya Hakam, The Judge, I ask that at least from You I will never be unhooked, Ya Jabbaar, The Compeller, Even if I was thrown in the lowest pits of Hell, Ya Ad-Daarr, The Creator of the Harmful, That I won’t lose hope in experiencing Paradise’s smell, Ya As-Samad, The Satisfier of All Needs, Because how can I lose hope of Your forgiveness, Ya Walee, The Protecting Friend, When it is from Your grace that I’ve learned hopefulness, Ya Rasheed, The Righteous Teacher, They say that the fire cannot burn the repentant, Ya Maanih, The Preventer of Harm, So I would push through it as a means for my advancement, Ya Mu-izz, The Bestower of Honors, And if I leave with scars on my skin, Ya Qaabidh, The Constrictor, Let it be a removal of every sin, Ya Mu’yid, The Restorer, For the moments I spent in disobedience to You, Ya Haseeb, The Accounter, I ask that You erase them to make my book look new, Ya Khaaliq, The Creator, If it were not for Your Mercy, Ya Raheem, The All-Merciful, You would have let me flee, Ya Mumeet, The Taker of Life, But no matter how far lost I became, Ya Mu’min, The Guardian of Faith, You made sure I turned back around to exclaim, Ya Mutakabbir, Ya Kabeer, The Majestic and Most Great, In all circumstances You have been present, Ya Zaahir, The Manifest One, And beautifully made it known while being silent, Ya Saboor, The Patient One, Although, I am in no place to ask of You for anything, Ya Ghanee, The Self-Sufficient, I request a fresh start so I can begin perfecting, Ya Mujeeb, The Responder to Prayer, Now that I know right from wrong, Ya Haadee, The Guide, This time around I’ll finish strong, Ya ‘Azeez, The Mighty, I won’t make the mistakes that I once did, Ya Baseer, The All Seeing, When I was a foolish and childish kid, Ya Waasi’, The All-Comprehending, I’ll think twice before I take a breath, Ya Haleem, The Forbearing, And I’ll continue to remember my death, Ya Baa’ith, The Resurrector, I simply ask that I meet you in happiness, Ya Wadood, The Loving One, And the book is given in my right in cleanliness, Ya Quddoos, The Holy, I implore for my khulq to be something You perfect, Ya Musawwir, The Shaper of Beauty For although it is unseen, I know that it’s been wrecked, Ya Khabeer, The All-Aware, Where should I begin in asking forgiveness from You, Ya Raqeeb, The Watchful One, When every limb can attest to what I’ve allowed it to do, Ya Haqq, The Truth, Should I begin with my eyes that have seen injustice, Ya ‘Adl, The Just, While my body lay still, and I disgusted, Ya Muntaqim, The Avenger, Or how about my ears that have heard many rumors, Ya Samee, The Hearer of All, While I stayed silent, letting it ruin futures, Ya Baaree, The Evolver, As for my tongue, I will be left speechless, Ya Jaleel, The Sublime One, For it has spewed everything but sweetness, Ya Barr, The Doer of Good, Such as the fault of a believer that I didn’t conceal, Ya Hafeez, The Preserver, It was a right of theirs that I did not appeal, Ya Wakeel, The Trustee, Although I fear my tongue has left me weak, Ya Muqsit, The Equitable One, My legs have taken me to places I now see as bleak, Ya Noor, The Light, While my sins have reached Your seventh heaven, Ya Maalik ul-Mulk, The Owner of All, Your blessings on me have never once lessened, Ya Muh'yee, The Giver of Life, How can I be angered by a mistreatment towards me, Ya Muqtadir, The Creator of All Power, When there’s valid reason for my unheard plea, Ya Mu’akhkhir, The Delayer, I haven’t lived up to what You have expected, Ya Malik, The Sovereign Lord, So I’ll understand why I’m one of the rejected, Ya Muhsee, The Reckoner, But I haven’t lost hope after all that I’ve done, Ya Kareem, The Generous One, For You can make a bad deed into a good one, Ya Mubdee, Ya Badee, The Originator and Incomparable, So I’ll kneel at Your courtyard begging for a chance, Ya Tawwab, The Acceptor of Repentance, To show You that I’ll be worth that second glance, Ya 'Afu, The Pardoner, This time I’ll prove it by actions more than words, Ya Qahhaar, The Subduer, So the angel can erase my book of bad records, Ya Baasith, The Reliever, While I begin to work on fixing all of my wrongs, Ya Awwal, The First, Allow Your creation to forgive my shortcomings all along, Ya Fattaah, The Opener, For the believers who were hurt by my speech, Ya Qawee, The Possessor of All Strength, Bestow them with blessings far from my reach, Ya Razzaaq, The Provider, And for the people who asked of me and I did not give, Ya Qayyoom, The Self-Existing One, Arrange for them benediction for as long as they live, Ya Baaqee, The Everlasting One, As for those whose hearts turned towards me at my lowest, Ya Salaam, The Source of Peace, Please keep them by Your side the closest, Ya Rahman, The All-Beneficient, For the humans who dislike me for nothing I’ve done, Ya Waajid, The Finder, Forgive them and keep them as far away from me as the sun, Ya Qaadir, The All Powerful, For the hearts that miss me when I’m not present, Ya Hameed, The Praised One, Grant them nothing less than what You find pleasant, Ya Mughni, The Enricher, As for every good that was done to me through your creation, Ya Waarith, The Inheritor of All, Provide them with double and give them salvation, Ya Wahhaab, The Giver of All, And if there is any heart that still cannot forgive me, Ya Hakeem, The Perfectly Wise, Give them the little I have of my good deeds for free, Ya Muqaddim, The Expediter, However, allow my scale to be weighty on good deeds, Ya Raafih, The Exalter, So that one less won’t leave me on my knees, Ya Mateen, The Firm One, From among Your creation, single me out, Ya Waalee, The Governor, As an example for all those who have doubt, Ya Lateef, The Subtle One, Let Your creation see this lowly of a servant, Ya ‘Ali, The Most High, Forgiven for everything which You have been observant, Ya Baatin, The Hidden One, Include in that forgiveness the sins which they know, Ya Ahad, The One , And for the ones they don’t, don’t let it show, Ya Hayy, The Ever Living One, Until the end of my life I will continue to repent, Ya Waahid, The Only One, Even the last of my breath will still not be content, Ya Aakhir, The Last, Please don’t cut off my hopes or let me leave empty handed, Ya Majeed wal Maajid, The Most Glorious and Noble One, And grant me the experience of the good You have commanded, Ya ‘Atheem, The Great One, On the Day that each individual will stand alone, Ya Jaamih, The Gatherer, I ask that I’ll be given shade under Your throne, Ya Dhul-Jalal-e Wal-Ikraam, The Lord of Majesty and Bounty, I ask from the beloved five under the cloak, Ya Muhaymin, The Protector, To forgive me for their heart that I once broke, Ya Muqeet, The Nourisher, I wish to meet the people of Paradise with their contentment, Ya Naafih, The Creator of Good, And to say Salaam to my Imam’s with their approvement, Ya Muta’al, The Supreme One
