"ilya as achilles" "shane as patroclus" WRONG. put aside the blond and brunet trope and walk with me.

achilles was the golden boy saviour who was looked up to and later repeatedly slammed for doing something that changed the course of a major event (refusing to fight in the war/shane tripping during playoffs). patroclus topped was the companion from another region whose death (or presumed, in this case) made achilles (shane) change his actions, AND he followed achilles and his orders everywhere.

shane is achilles. ilya is patroclus.

remembers im nearly finished with season 3 of supernatural and there have been 4 abuse survivors on this show so far and none of them have been treated well: 🙃

There's Max, a survivor of severe physical childhood abuse: a murderer, who then kills himself

There's Madison, a survivor of partnership abuse: gets turned into a werewolf and has to be killed

There's Jeremey Frost, the character from dream a little dream of me, a survivor of again massive physical childhood abuse: a murderer, who is killed by sam in self defense

And then finally there's Bela, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse: portrayed as unredeemable evil bitch... is called a bitch repeatedly... dies... gets to spend eternity in hell

like at least max and madison get a liiiittle bit of kindness from the narrative, but jeremy and bela don't get that at all

maybe im forgetting some others that come later, but thats the entirety of abuse survivors on this show so far (that i can remember although i might have forgotten a very minor character?) and I Hate It With Every Fiber Of My Being @ spnwriters come here, fight me OR hire me cause im gonna write an episode to redeem y'all
