Conclave/The Rescuers

An idea which won't exit my head (again)

Conclave and The Rescuers in the same world. The Vatican having an outpost of the Rescue Aid Society specifically-

the Vatican having a little mouse community of Monks and Nuns (mice-nuns in mice-sized habits anyone?), and some Lay Mice, who also morn the human Pope, because he was a good man. maybe they're actually the first ones to find out, scamperign about

Vincent, possibly unknowingly, possibly knowingly (your choice), bringing a mouse passenger who visits with the Vatican Mice and tells them a lot about his Person. Vincent certainly knows about the RAS, and has mice he chats to in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mice regularly chatting with the Turtles in the pond and finding out more about Vincent.

Sister Agnes having a longstanding Tacit truce/semi-alliance with the Head Sister-Mouse - "You stay away from the working Kitchens, I won't ask to get a Cat, will lie about seeing Mice and i'll leave odds and ends for you. Thank you for upsetting Janusz's bottles/ yanking the tops off and spilling them so he can't drink even when he wants to."

Maybe the mice make an effort to free the LHF headboard that little bit more, so Lawrence spots it, because they saw where he hid the documents.

I tormented bsky last night. Today, it's Tumblr's turn. WARNING: MAJOR CHARACTER DEATHS. This is SAD.

This might not ever be more than this but I did it. A teenwolf x strangerthings crossover, cw: mcd (for Steve's backstory. This is the really sad version. I can't stress that enough!)

Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley become Noah and Claudia Stilinski inside a bland government building in Chicago, hundreds of miles from the smouldering rubble that had been Hawkins, Indiana just days ago.

They're the only ones left. Everyone else--

"Don't think about." Robin's voice is hoarse with dissuse. Her hand is gripping his tightly enough to leave marks her. He voice breaks. "Don't think about it."

So they don't. They take the government money, and they don't think about it. Claudia goes to college. Noah goes with her. They're married, so they get an apartment. Neighbors make noise complaints about the screaming, so they move. Claudia transfers to a new school. Noah gets a different retail job, then an office job, then back to retail. More apartments, more transfers, more nightmares.

Eventually they talk about them, the family they lost, the town they failed. The nightmares neither can get rid of. It helps. For awhile.

Claudia finishes school, a degree in history and linguistics.

They settle in California. A small town north of San Francisco, within commuting distance. Claudia gets a job at a local college. Noah becomes a deputy, thinking of Hopper and wanting to protect his new community. And have an ear out for anything weird.

They have a baby, "turkey baster" method.

They're happy. For awhile. The have each other, they have their baby. Their Stiles. Sometimes they have affairs, quiet things that they keep out of Beacon Hills.

They ignore anything weird--and there's a lot of weird in Beacon Hills--because none of it is Hawkins weird, so it's not for them.

They get 10 years. Then Claudia gets sick. The doctors say it's frontotemporal dementia, but Noah knows better -- it's the effects of the Upside Down, finally coming for them.

By the end, Claudia doesn't know Noah. She wants Steve, wants Nancy. Screams at Stiles. Calls him Dusty. It's almost a relief when she goes, and Noah/Steve drinks himself almost unconscious that night when they get home, while his son cries in the next room. Steve/Noah wants to follow her, follow the rest. Why is he the one left. He should have been the first to go. That was his job he's the babysitter. The shield.

Then Stiles comes in. And he can't follow his Birdie. Because there's Stiles.

So he goes on. Drinks more than he should. Ignores more about the town than he should. But he tries to be there for his kid. Tries to be Sherrif Noah Stilinski, the best parts of the people a boy named Steve Harrington once loved.

And then he finds a girl cut in half in the woods, and he can't protect Stiles any more.

I watched f1 like last week

And now im like. Cliff/Rick where they were Sonny's dad's.

Like sonny took more after cliff but got some of his acting skills from Rick

Imagine Rick and Brandi rolling their eyes when Cliff and Sonny come in all covered in motor oil and Rick freaking out when Sonny gets hurt. Being like.

"I told cliff that driving shit was fucked. I told that motherfucker and now my baby boy's hurt"

Then when sonny was in the hospital, instead of being comforted by Rick. He's comforting a crying Rick

"I know, I know. You didn't survive those hippies just to see me go out like this, dad. Yeah, i know racing cars is dumb but dad and I liked cars. The doc said I'll be okay, please dont cry i hate seeing you cry"
