When a string of missing persons cases alerts the CIA of a possible network of hidden terror activity growing under their noses, Alex gets deployed to investigate a person who they assume to be the key to this case and later discovers that it isn't going to be an easy task.

A forgotten memory

“The cards have not been reading very kindly for you lately have they?” came a soft mutter. Lornna sighed and closed her eyes, putting her tarot cards back into their stack and starting into the muscle memory of folding  and shuffling the deck into its many parts. 

She was set up in a small tent along the city’s many alleyways and busy paths, just trying to show others the ways of the world in the only way she could. Fortunes could be amassed, lives ruined, and of course deaths known. All one had to do was see her and allow her to see them for the future to be spoken from such worn cards as the ones she carried. 

Being pulled so far back into the small tent she hadnt noticed someone approaching. It was only when the moonlight from outside cast its light along the carpet she used as a floor did those sweeps wizened eyes trail up to the figure before her. “Ah, so someone does wish to know how the future will treat them. Come, rest a moment and let me tell you your future” she cooed softly, hand reaching out and offering the other side of the low table as she sat her deck in the center. “come....now what is your name child?”

I'm sad that "A Forgotten Memory" is almost ending. I know each chapter is very short and a quick read but I tried to compensate it with daily updates, which sounds fair, Right?

It, being by first multichapter fic, allowed me to slightly grow and learn a lot of new techniques, some of which I hope to apply in the near future.

Thanks for the support on reblogging, liking and commenting. I swear they make me happy hence the daily updates. I started writing because I want to show people what my mind is capable of conjuring up, not expecting others to like it as well. So less notes don't actually bothered me and I feel like a very generous person.

Huge shoutouts to @enderio and @samatedeansbroccoli for their funny tags and reactions. Something about that makes my heart all fuzzy when they reblog it. And of course to everyone who's saving it for later, leaving likes and those who lurk read it (are there any?)

Now that my spotlight will be fading, (did I even have one) I have more time to focus on other people's works and boy believe me I'll do my best to react to each one of them with tags. Just like ender and samatedean, you know. Reciprocity.

But don't forget me though. I'm already making a pathway for something new, and I hope by the time I post it, you'll still be there.

"I have this dream that troubles me. It always begins the same:

A long dark tunnel, devoid of life, stretching down into the dark abyss. The end is a door made of iron and steel with the number "27" painted all in white on the top. It screeches and groans like a behemoth when it slowly twists open and I step inside. It's as if the mouth of a god has swallowed me whole. From deep within I hear a voice calling my name.

It bids me "Welcome home" though I do not know why. I don't want to be in places where the sun can't reach me. Where I an encased by metal and trapped within. But the voice, it seems to know me. So I think it is where I came from..."

A Forgotten Memory: Clint x Natasha

A steady beeping sound filled the room. Lying in the only bed in the room was the bandaged form of Clint. Eyes flickered behind closed eye lids before they snap open and he shot up. He looked around the room wildly, not recognizing where he was or what happened. He caught sight of himself in the reflective surface of the tray next to him and panicked, trying to pull out the tubes in his throat and nose.
