setting any possible series before ZD/FW works on multiple levels:
-you’re not rehashing a good story but making it worse
-the lore and world building on this series is mad interesting and there’s so much to work with, you’d be daft to not want to play in that sandbox
-you’re giving horizon fans brand new shit to obsess over
-if you set it in the Old World you can end it in a way that directly leads into the first game
-they already come with their own subtitles:
Horizon: The Hotzone Crisis (season 1)
Horizon: The Clawback (season 2)
Horizon: The Faro Plague (final season that leads directly into Zero Dawn)
-Wanna set it during the tribal era to capitalize on fan favorite characters? no problem! Horizon: The Red Raids
-“but Gangrel pride”, you say “what about spoiling the plot for people who have no idea what Horizon is and might want to play the game?” 1, Easy fix: PLAY HORIZON ZERO DAWN, 2, if by the end of season 1 they haven’t already played it, they’re not going to. spoiling them shouldn’t be a problem
A Zero Dawn series is a bad idea not only cause, like, if i wanna watch that i can just look up a cutscene compilation on youtube or play the game for the eight billionth time, which is the thing im more likely to do—same goes for a movie btw, same story i could already look up but with worse pacing— but also because i want to see the old world events on screen and they need to appeal to me specifically
