 When I was in my teens, so in love with Durara fandom, I was also into Ouran High School Host Club, so my teenaged mind came across Kanra acting like Izaya because she really liked messing with Shizuo, and the only way he’d probably play their games seriously is if he’d thought she was a he.

 Like, I wrote terrible fanfics about it back then. I’ll probably write terrible fanfics about it now bc I like the idea of Izaya/Kanra being a lil’ turd but high key has a soft spot for Shizuo and the only real way to show affection is by getting his attention, I guess?

I don’t condone abusive behavior, so maybe I’ll make an “annoy the heck outta your friend/crush but not make him feel worthless, but he still wishes you’d step on a lego” type fic.I love our dude Shizuo too much to make him suffer through angst so it’d be a humor romance fic.
