So this thought has been rolling around in me head for months. Okay... Quinn has successfully baby trapped you and you have given birth to the little one. What is Quinn thoughts of seeing you with said little one? Also to add more drama for Quinn he was playing a week long away game stretch when the baby was born so not only Quinn wasn't at the birth but it took him longer to get back to you due to media and the team as you both had kept the pregnancy quiet. You can deceide if his family knew about the baby or not. Love your blog!

This probably isn't what you wanted many uh, months, ago— but it's where my brain went. Warnings: the lowest level of dark!Quinn you've ever seen if you even want to call this that, it's more of a hint. A sprinkle. I'll just still call it that for that. Quinn being scared of the baby.

I feel like it'd play on his mind— this deep-rooted fear of this backfiring on his face, for this driving a wedge between you both somehow. It's not fully rational on his part. A fear he didn't know truly existed until he heard that you were in the ward.

This fear that the baby will be your only focus, that you'll pull away from him. That you won't be able to give him the twisted amount of affection and attention he knows he needs from you to even stay slightly sane.

He called you the minute he heard the news, making an excuse to leave the locker room early. He's terrified of the way his heart felt like it was in a vice the minute you were distracted on the phone. The way the attention was already being directed at someone that wasn't him.

You'll have a whole week to cement it. The bond between you both. He'll be stuck away from you for a week with the thoughts racing in his head. He can't see you together to test his fear, he can't at least form his own bond early. He can't try and at least be on more equal footing.

Logically, he knows none of it matters. He knows a week doesn't make a difference, but he's suddenly petrified. What if you resent him for not being there? For having to put his career forward? What if you hate him for wanting to keep it away from his family, from the media?

He just didn't want your attention split. He knew they'd hover, they'd monopolise your life. His mother would insist on you moving in with them. They'd insist on dragging you away from him. They'd probably be concerned considering he tries to keep them out of the loop as much as he can, not wanting to alarm them with his behaviour.

He's anxious about you being on your own. He doesn't like leaving you, he doesn't like not being able to keep an eye on you— and now you've not only given birth on your own, but you're home alone now.

What if you're injured? You have to be exhausted. What if you're stressed? What if you need him? Of course you need him. He's failing. He can't provide. He's stuck.

You send him videos of you and the baby. He can see the bags under your eyes, the way you're suddenly looking at another person like they're the most precious thing in the world— not just him.

He can see himself in the baby, but it doesn't soothe him. He needs to be back with you to try to fix this, to fix his feelings.

He did this. He orchestrated every single thing about it. He has to get you both through this.
