“Huh?! What’s a curse?”

Shiki was aware that there were numerous differences between this world, and the one that she came from. At first, it had almost seemed that she’d been catapulted into the past, but she swiftly realized that she was mistaken on this point. While this was the ‘past’ of a similar world, there were several key differences. The most glaring of which was that the people here did not seem to have any concept of cursed spirits and cursed energy.

Cursed energy was born from the negativity in this world. The negativity born from humanity, to be precise. Yet somehow, the humans in this world did not produce any cursed energy at all.

… Perhaps that’s the reason why none of them seem to really grasp what Shiki is talking about, when she speaks of curses. The only one who comes close to understanding the nature of curses is Ubuyashiki Kagaya, and Shiki suspects that this is because the man had literally been cursed himself. Which was another oddity, with how this world was supposedly free of curses. Shiki had her suspicions regarding this–

“She just explained it, Inosuke!”

“No she didn’t!”

“Yes she did!”

–but that was something best set aside for another time, perhaps.

Shiki stares out at the crowded clearing. She’s not really sure how things led to this… in the beginning, it was only one boy who’d asked to train with her. Then somehow one became two, and two became three. She’d been quite startled when the third boy had first shown up; it wasn’t every day when someone walked around wearing a boar’s head like that.

The humans in this world use something called ‘Breathing Techniques’ to improve their own physicality and push past the limits of baseline human strength. It doesn’t seem to be something that Shiki can use, however. And similarly, since the humans in this world do not produce cursed energy, they cannot use cursed energy to augment their own body as Shiki does.

Shiki had attempted to explain how she used cursed energy to ‘make herself stronger’ using cursed energy, but it seems that it’s a lost cause. At this rate, she might as well just call it ‘magic’ and leave things at that, if only so the rowdy boys will stop bickering with each other…

Shiki sighs, “I should’ve paid more attention to Takagi-sensei’s lessons.” Takagi-sensei was experienced with explaining basic jujutsu concepts to civilian students, and some of that would’ve translated well here.

“Takagi-sensei?” Dark red eyes blink curiously towards her, and Kamado’s face brightens with a cheery smile. “Oh, are they the one who taught you how to fight?”

“No,” Shiki shakes her head. “But he’s the teacher for first year students,” and Shiki is one of the first year students in the Tokyo school.

Another blink from the younger boy. “… Students?”

“Yes. I was enrolled in Tokyo Jujutsu High –a jujutsu school that trains aspiring students in the arts of sorcery.”

So I’m going back in person today, and this is the link to my online learning help. Teachers please keep this in mind when you go back in person

Be patient, I know this seems stupid but remember some of us have not been in person full time since March, it’s gonna take us a while to get back that attention span,

Please, hold back on the homework for a bit. Some of us still have obligations like work, clubs and sports. And now that we are at school all day, don’t give us to much for outside of class

We still need an agenda, don’t expect kids to write it down, but just like when things are gonna be due and assigned

Still wait a bit for important group projects. What if you have to go back vituraly? It’s hard to do group projects, just wait till you know for a fact we are clear

Still try to give us breaks for the first week if not two. Let kids go to the bathroom and get drinks, just walk around. It’s proably been a while since They have had to just sit there

Teachers of tumblr I know your doing the best you can but please keep in mind that must students are teens, if not literally children, we are not adults.

Also, have as many lights off as possible at any time, it’s easier for our eyes, okay? Also as much paper as possible, worksheets online are not the best.
