The tags are a mess. What did Misha say?

uhhhhhh basically what it boils down to is that misha said something off the cuff abt how he doesn’t think that dean returns cas’s love in the same way or smthg. but then he walked it HELLA back like “that’s just my sPeCuLaTiOn” and fandom freaked out because when left to our own devices we WILL cut the sleeves off all of our teeshirts.

Dang, I have to say I think they did Steve dirty. I mean, at least Tony did something noble and can be remembered as such, even though it sucks. But Steve..I guess it was meant like "He never liked the future anyway, now he has a chance to be really happy where he actually wants to be!" It's such a fail for his character. I'm not in the Steve fandom so I'm not sure how his fans feel. I mean, I'll be mad about Tony forever but at least it was honorable. But Steve's ending? Yikes forever.

yup exactly how i feel. it’s just so tragic to think that he landed in the future for over a decade and he never tried to assimilate. it’s such a disservice to his character. isn’t he supposed to be adaptable? he never adapted to the future. he chose to spend 40 years without the friends he made along the way for a nolstagic what-could-have-been. it was yikes.

It might be a big age difference between them in the MCU though. So they might not know each other that closely. But hey, it’s a movie, who knows

There is a huge Rhodey/Carol age difference in present day, it’s true. (We can see that in the age difference between Don Cheadle, who’s 53, and Brie Larson, who’s 28). But the Captain Marvel movie takes place at least 20 years ago. That means that there’s only a five-year age difference between two clear adults, which is absolutely reasonable.

What I really want to see is Rhodey/Carol in the 90s, and them having a real rapport, but then Carol goes into space and time passes differently. And then in Avengers 4, it’s suddenly awkward- for Carol, seeing her boyfriend’s aged 20 years; for Rhodey, seeing his girlfriend hasn’t aged a day- and it’s too weird for both of them. Which then paves the way for Carol/Jess and Tony/Pepper/Rhodey for MCU endgame.

What was the post credits scene people keep mentioning?

if you are talking about the pepperony scene, it’s not a post-credits scene, it’s near the end of the movie! and basically it was all about “we’re definitely not on a break anymore” scene

the first post-credits is with the vulture when he’s already in prison and he’s approached by another inmate so they can kill peter

the second one is a cap video like those we saw on the trailer about the cap challenge gym class, detention, and now a post-credit scene

I think the real world tension of the world going to Hell has made people even more angry, bitter and jaded so they're just directing those bad vibes at SPN for now because they need an easy target to distract themselves from real life. Also, tumblr was always a toxic, nasty place. Ppl forget that. They try to sugar coat the "good ol' days" but it's always been a Hell hole filled with bitter, hateful people at it's core, some decent fan art and a few good gif sets never changed that lol

haaaaa i actually think it’s been better more recently. like it’s always trash but it was such a wild, no man’s land of shitheapery back then. idk, anyway, i’m done giving braincells to that tirefire of people needing to shit on a thing to feel good. i have noodles coming to my house within 20 minutes and biden is going to be president and the girl i like is texting me.

I don't think anyone was saying age = worth. It's not that serious. But as an older fan on social media where the main demographic is like 15-25; you see lots of commentary how ppl over mid 20s are 'supposed' to act. Like, after 30 we all become boring & play bingo at the nursery home. I think it's just a knee jerk reaction because there IS a lot of ageism online so older fans sometimes get annoyed when people are like "lol Chris Evans is old, why do I love him". I wouldn't take it personally.

I wasn't trying to be preachy, btw. Just saying, it used to bother me too. Then I thought "Why do I even care?" As long as they're not bothering anybody I just stay in my corner of the internet, occasionally unfollow some people and move on lol

No, I feel you. I just stumbled on someone’s tumblr by accident and that rant just came out. I’ve unfollowed a lot of people this year. At one point I even mentioned I was living in my own bubble. I’m just saying I don’t identify with most of the fandom and it’s weird because I’m in the fandom but I’m not.
