Last thing I Googled: Samantha Shannon's books because (storytime) the weirdest thing just happened at the bookstore, like here I am just browsing and I see a book which appears to be a sequel to Priory of the Orange Tree, translated into german. Now I was really confused and excited and was like, I would have heard if there was a sequel to that right and why have I seen it nowhere in english? So I googled it and turns out it's not a sequel, the german publisher just split the book into two parts and published them some months apart, like what's up with that?! Do they think german readers would be afraid to pick up a 1000 page monstrosity or what. :')

Da existieren gleich zwei: "Durchs finstere Tal", die @hope-calaris und ich in einem einzigen, wilden Ritt in zwei Monaten geschrieben haben. Das war so noch nie dagewesen und richtig cool.
"Die Farbe Grau" ist eigentlich aus genau dem umgekehrten Grund ein wilder Ritt gewesen, da ich für die Fertigstellung zwölf Jahre gebraucht habe.
📚 Would you ever want to turn writing into a career?
Zu einem Nebenherverdienst gerne, zu einer Karriere nicht (es sei denn, ich lande einen Zufallstreffer). Aber ich schreibe, weil ich Themen adressieren möchte, die mich interessieren. Ich möchte mich da ungerne einem Verlagsdiktat beugen oder mich zum Schreiben zwingen müssen.
💥 How do you feel about criticism?
Finde ich super! Ich hatte jüngst eine Person, die eine meiner Geschichten (die Anatomie) kritisiert hat. Ich fand es toll, wie sie/er sich damit auseinandergesetzt hat und wie ehrlich und konstruktiv die Person ihre Kritik angebracht hat.
