AA Clint Barton x Reader
Comforting headcanons
Needed my own comfort so I wrote this

• One thing we all know about Clint Barton is that he is always one to smile, even in the face of danger. He does his best to crack a joke to cheer up his team and you.
• So when he sees you crying one day (and it could be over anything) he’s going to do everything to comfort you.
• The first thing he does is put a hand on your shoulder silently testing the boundaries for physical touch.
• If he sees you’re not pulling away he brings you into a hug and whispers reassuring words into your hair. He’ll also place a couple kisses on your forehead to help you calm down.
• If it’s clear you don’t want physical touch he sits there with you silently, it’s his way to show you that you’re not alone.
• Once you’ve stopped crying he’ll ask if you want to talk about it. If you do talk about it he’s there listening, and as much as he loves to talk he won’t say a word until you’re done.
• If you don’t want to talk about it he’ll offer some distractions. If you want to eat he’ll bring you lunch/snacks/drinks. Clint is also a movie guy so he’ll have some comfort movies ready on the tv for you both to watch.
• Clint doesn’t like the idea of you being alone during your sad times, once you’ve been dating a while he’ll be so in tune with your emotions. You could be on a different floor in the tower and he’d know if you’re upset.
• While he’s comforting you he’ll always try to make you smile. I mentioned in my dating headcanons that he loves making you smile, so seeing you cry breaks him.
• Once he’s able to get a smile out of you he knows he accomplished his goal. He won’t leave your side the rest of the day in case you’re still upset.
• Clint refuses to let anyone piss you off further. He will protect his baby to the ends of the earth! The team will definitely pick up on your mood based on how gentle he is with you. Every now and then you’ll get a small smile or some encouraging words from the team.
• Overall 10/10 would receive comfort from Clint Barton.

Period headcanons
I hate leaving you guys dry without writing for so long. I try to write everyday and I swear the next chapter is coming up soon. For now here’s some headcanons.

• At first Clint doesn’t know what to do, when you tell him you’re not up for anything that day -with no specific details as to what’s wrong- he just assumes you’re sick.
• But if this behavior continues to the next day he asks you what’s wrong, and when you say it’s your period he freaks the hell out.
• I doubt he knows the first thing about period care so he’ll just cuddle you the first time hoping it’s enough.
• After you get better and explain to him on what to do and what medication helps he’s more responsible than Hulk is with his figurines.
“Ok babe I’ve got your favorite snacks, your laptop, and I even got some medicine on hand in case you’re cramps get worse. Did I miss anything?”
• When he looks up from everything he laid out on the bed and sees tears in your eyes he panics.
• Clint immediately gets into the bed and holds you close like he did the first time. And he asks over and over again what he did wrong. When you get a chance to breath you can explain yourself.
“I-it’s just…you got me all this stuff…I feel like I don’t deserve you!”
• You practically started sobbing by the time you got to the end of your sentence and once again he holds you close.
• Once you’ve calmed down (and eaten some chocolate) you start to explain it’s just your hormones acting up.
• Clint just chuckles and rubs your back. It’s what he figured but he didn’t want to accidentally piss you off.

Y/n made her way to the kitchen with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. It slowly dragged as she made her way to the kitchen and she could already hear the voices in the room. She groaned not wanting to talk to anyone right now. She took a deep breath to calm herself and went straight to the fridge. “Well if it isn’t our sneaky spider trying to get a snack.” Tony’s voice broke through the group first. “Where’ve you been the past few days?”
Y/n ignored him and opened the fridge to look for something to eat. Everything she saw either needed to be cooked or be made as a sandwich and Y/n didn’t feel like assembling her own food. “Y/n are you ok?” Cap’s voice speaks up next.
“I’m fine.” Y/n’s voice was angrier than she expected. She slammed the fridge shut and moved onto the pantry, only to once again find food that needed assembly.
“Geez touched a nerve.” Tony muttered which was Y/n’s last straw.
As she turned around getting ready to snap at them she saw Clint enter the kitchen with a bag of fast food in his hand. “Hey there you are. I got some food assuming you’d be hungry.” Y/n’s eyes widened slightly and she clutched her blanket around her tighter. She didn’t expect him to be so in tune with her emotional and hunger needs, especially on her period. Clint chuckled softly already knowing what she was feeling. He walked over and wrapped the arm that didn’t have the food around her shoulders. He leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. “Come on let’s go back to your room and eat this in peace.”
As Clint lead Y/n back to her room Tony and Cap stared at the couple with shock on their faces. It was clear that Clint was in it for the long haul when it came to her.

• It’s not an immediate love at first sight to him, he actually finds you very interesting. If you showed interest in his hobbies he’d be happy to show you.
• Whenever he gets a quiet moment he’s working on his arrows. When you start dating he lets you join him so you can fix whatever gear you need to fix while he works on his arrows. And he’ll let you play your favorite music and doesn’t care what it is, it could be anything from 90s music to Taylor Swift he’ll listen to it if it makes you happy.
• Clint’s favorite thing to do as a couple is movie nights. I see him as a big movie guy and will watch whatever movie possible. Clint will gather snacks and drinks for your date night and make sure no one will interrupt your night. (He definitely puts Cap or Natasha on duty for that.)
• We’ve seen Clint anger Hulk dozens of times in the show and he’ll always use you as a shield. If you’re around he’s running to you and hiding behind you knowing Hulk won’t hurt you.
• Clint is definitely a child at heart as we know and can also be really mature at times. He’s able to balance the two perfectly when dating you and is really in tune with how annoyed you can get if he goes too far.
• I can see Clint’s favorite form of love is physical touch and words of affirmation. If there’s ever a chance for him to touch you he’s taking it. You could be in a meeting with the other Avengers or just having dinner he’s got an arm around your shoulders or a hand on your thigh.
• Words of affirmation is something he likes hearing. Like I said earlier he’s a child at heart so if you compliment him on something he did in battle he smiles so much. Honestly he also gets a little cocky and it annoys the others so chose wisely when you compliment him.
• I’ve mentioned this before in a part of my story but there are times when you’re jealous of Clint and Natasha’s closeness. It’s obvious they were partners during their time in shield and there are times when he decides to open up to her more. If Clint notices your jealous tendencies he’ll make sure to pull you aside and talk about it. Don’t even try to deny it he’ll know. Clint will want you to talk to him whenever you feel like this, because we all know communication is key to a relationship.
• I think he’d definitely want you and Natasha to have a good relationship as friends. Like I said they were partners in shield and he wants the two most important people in his life to get along. At first she was closed off (like always) but she saw how much you meant to Clint and warmed up to you. It took a while but Clint was glad you are friends now.
• Clint’s favorite thing about you is your smile. He tries hard to make people smile with his jokes throughout the whole show, and yours is his favorite smile. Even when you’re having the crappiest day ever he always manages to make you smile.
• I believe Clint has issues when it comes to being intimate with someone, like REALLY intimate. He’s got scares across his body from years of being in battle and I know that he’s scared to show someone them. It’d probably take something really big for him to take it to the next level. You’d probably have to have a near death experience for that to happen. (You’d also give him ptsd if that happens.)
• He told you his full name by accident, so now whenever he does something that upsets the team you use his full name. It sends a chill down his spine knowing he fucked up badly to make you upset. He now regrets telling you his full name.
• Clint is the type of person who can get you to open up easily. Like if you’re too shy or even introverted he’s the guy who will listen and talk to you, even if you don’t do a lot of talking.
• He absolutely loves PDA. The team will definitely tease him for being so lovey with you. (They call you love birds for obvious reasons.)
• With being on the Avengers there is going to be times when you won’t have time alone. There’s always going to be missions and there will always be problems, and I just know that won’t stop Clint. He’s always going to make up for dates interrupted, it could be him making you dinner or it could be him cuddling you in bed to sleep better. It could literally be anything.
• You don’t fight very often, but when you do they’re big and explosive. This’ll be the one time the team isn’t in even on a mission they’ll come up with some excuse to leave the tower completely empty. And no matter how big the fight is you will make up quickly because Clint doesn’t want to lose the best thing that’s happened to him.
• You two are inseparable when it comes to missions. Sometimes when you two split up things go to hell. It could be one of you staying at the tower while the other goes on the mission with the team and the plan goes downhill. It happens more time than you think, and whenever the team points it out the two of you just look at them like they’ve gone crazy.
• He teaches you sign language just so you can have private conversations so no one can understand in a public setting. Probably not in front of Natasha tho, she probably knows some words too.
• Overall a relationship with Clint Barton is full of adventures and laughter. There is never a day where it is boring with this man-child around. He’ll bring you love and laughter till the day that you die.
