My boss is insistent on “staying the course” (her words) and keeping the library open despite the fact that we serve hundreds of elderly and people struggling with poverty due to medical issues and chronic illness. We can’t sanitize every item coming in. We don’t have enough supplies and we’ve been asked to ration what’s left since it’s unobtainable. So we’re exchanging books and letting people on the public computers, and so many of them are the target vulnerable population
