I was out to dinner with about 20 other recovering alcoholics. I was talking with an older lady in her 70's, and we were discussing the temptation to drink. She told me that she and her husband had just returned from a lovely lodge north of Santa Fe with a fireplace and large windows with gorgeous mountain views. "The ambiance called for a glass of Merlot", she said. Wow. Such class! In my case, it was usually more along the lines of "there was a Twilight Zone marathon, so I sucked down a 12 pack of Schlitz and a Four Loko".
