Praised are the women of the Ansar, their shyness did not stop them from acquiring the Knowledge of the Religion

Lady A’ishah, in praising the women of the Ansar

‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)

“She was a woman who was white and beautiful, وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةً بَيْضَاءَ جَمِيْلَةً،

And therefore she was called “Al-Ḥumayrā” (The Little Reddish One). وَمِنْ ثَمَّ يُقَالُ لَهَا: الحُمَيْرَاءُ،

The Prophet ﷺ did not marry any other virgin besides her, وَلَمْ يَتَزَوَّجِ النَّبِيُّ -صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- بِكْراً غَيْرَهَا،

Nor did he love any other woman as he loved her. وَلاَ أَحَبَّ امْرَأَةً حُبَّهَا،

I do not know there to be have been any woman in the nation of Muḥammad ﷺ, وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ فِي أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ -صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ-

Indeed any woman ever who was more knowledgeable than her.” بَلْ وَلاَ فِي النِّسَاءِ مُطْلَقاً امْرَأَةً أَعْلَمَ مِنْهَا.
