It’s three weeks since I ended up in agony with sciatica. I’d hoped it would be a lot better by now, and it did seem to have improved the past couple of days, but since last night the pain’s been worse again. I know there are many people worse off but I’m really fed up with it now. 😔

just when you think you can finally get back to work on your fancomic after finishing a different comic project, packing everything you own and moving house, and unpacking and setting up in your new apartment...you go ahead and get sick!
5 minutes! Aaaargh!
I REALLY don't want to contribute to the whole “you’re in theater, you must want to be an actor” thing. I really don’t. But there is a very small part of me that wants to feel what it’s like to be part of a cast. Stage Managers are an essential part of the team, and there are some really great casts who make you feel included. But there’s always going to be that little wedge between the Stage Manager and the cast. They’re creating bonds and relationships that leaves little room for “the boss.” Just once I’d like to experience being part of the gang rather than being the one in charge.
My friend recently did something really brave and inspired me to do something that scared me. I looked around for some auditions and saw a theatre was doing The Glass Menagerie. I thought Laura was a character I could potentially play. Someone shy and isolated. I started brushing up on a monologue I had memorized years ago, decided I’d sign up for auditions, and started feeling those random fear spikes when you’re nervous about something.
I went to the theatre website ... and saw I’m in tech both days of auditions.
My short comics Meč velké váhy/Heavy Sword (2015) was printed in 16th Aargh! magazine.
It wasn’t made for this issue of the magazine, but I added colour and shading so it is a bit new now and it looks better. (It was originally made for doujin aimed on czech manga fans, so I used japanese props I kinda like - beautiful young heroes and big swords.)
This cover variant done by great suwi.
