Connection Description:

Your character owns and manages the Slumber Motel. It's up to you whether they inherited the location from an in-law or from some shadier means, but the Slumber Motel is a place in town where characters can take care of their seedy dealings or secret affairs. The establishment is cash only and pay is by the hour.

It is up to you whether your character is involved in crime themselves or just protects those who are up to no good, but if they are involved in crime, they could: deal in embezzlement, fraud, money laundering, or drugs to name a few (please only pick one and please be mindful to avoid any harmful stereotypes depending on what FC you choose).

Your character currently resides at the motel and it's up to you what brought them to town/how long they've lived there, but they would have been in town for a couple of years before the Slumber Motel was labeled a crime scene in regard to the missing persons case of October 2024.

At the start of the year, a string of mysterious disappearances began to plague the Cove. Residents had been vanishing, only to return to town 48 hours later without any recollection as to what happened to them. 

But, then the Mayor and Clan Leader, Meena Raja, and a self-turned werewolf, Dhruv Mehta, went missing for the entire month of October. Several search parties were sent out, but no one could find them until screams started to be heard from underneath the Slumber Motel. As far as your character and the blueprints they had on hand were concerned, there had never been a basement to the Slumber Motel. But, upon further investigating, it was discovered that the blueprints had been doctored and the stairwell that had been originally built with the motel to lead to the basement had been bricked off and sealed away - see plot drop here.

Why did the previous owner give you falsified blueprints and if they weren't the ones who altered them, then who did? Now, your character has the town's Sheriff department snooping around and who knows who else might have stayed under your very own roof...

Connection Description:

Your charrie and Meena have been friends for years. They’ve been in and out of each other’s lives throughout the decades and know each other better than most.

Your charrie would have also known Meena back when she was the advisor for the Clan (before she became the Clan Leader). She had a rocky relationship with her ex-husband (the previous Clan Leader), but your charrie was always part of her inner circle with it always being the three of them.

They could have been a vampire she turned years ago, could have been a vampire turned around the same time she did etc. but from day one they quickly became thick as thieves.

If you’ve seen the Magicians, they would have had a similar dynamic to Margo & Eliot where they would love to gossip, exchange flirty or judgmental comments between each other, do drugs, encourage each other’s hedonistic tendencies etc. (or if you’ve seen TVD, they could also be like a Lexi & a Stefan or if you’ve seen Gossip Girl, Blair & Serena etc.)

They accept each other at their worst, rarely push each other to delve deeper into what they’re struggling with/who they are beneath the surface of their facades and have always been close friends/one of the clan members she is the closest to.

Although it didn't happen often, before she went by Aaliyah Rose, she turned a small handful of people into vampires, though none of them made it very far.

Your character would have been turned sometime between the early 1900s and the 1940s, likely around the time Aaliyah was using the name Alice Rosenthal.

Alice was prone to long bouts of languidness followed by bloodbaths, and your character was unfortunately caught up in all of that. Rather than let you die, though, she decided to turn you, be it for her own amusement or just a desperate desire for companionship; she never properly gave you an answer.

While traveling with Alice, you would have been taught indulgence. People are just pawns to be manipulated, you are just a pawn to be manipulated, but she humors you, and she teaches you, and she does her best to keep you both safe. Slaughter is meant to be contained in back alleys and deserted areas that can be cleaned quickly. Money is meant to be taken, but only from those with an excess that they won't miss for long. It's for the best if you leave no trace, but if you do, always have an excuse and a new identity at the ready.

You never learned much about Alice's past, only that she was older than the several decades that she claimed to be, and she was incredibly wary of hunters after they'd killed her own sire and her last prodigé years ago.

Whether it's over a spat or nothing at all, one day, you wake up to find Alice gone. There's no note, no trail to follow. You spent days wondering if something had happened to her or if she'd merely grown tired of you, but you never learned the truth. Instead, you kept going, wandering the world and enjoying your unlife and the teachings that Alice had given you.

Maybe your thoughts frequently fluttered to your sire, or maybe you hardly thought of her at all, but you remember feeling the night that she'd almost died in April of 2024. You thought she was dead, but the pain faded too fast, leaving you winded but not in agony. Perhaps you grew worried or curious or irate, but you remembered hearing about the last sanctuary for supernaturals, Lunar Cove. If something was powerful enough to nearly kill your rotten old sire, there might be something to the concept of safety in numbers, so you start heading your way to Rhode Island. Of course, there's very little to prepare you for running into your sire, going by a new name with a new disposition, much less having to deal with her as the advisor to the vampire clan you've been thinking about joining.
