Have you heard of a creature called the Abath? I think some headcanons of a bloodthirsty unicorn boi would be great >xb

Thanks to you, Nony, I’ve heard of him now! He seems like a handsome lad! I’m sure I can whip up a few headcanons for him ^^

-The Abath always hides out in the forests, hanging out in caves during the day and lurking around a village’s outskirts at night.

-He eats bad children who’ve wandered into the forest by stabbing them with his horn and using his healing magic to keep them alive, before he devours them as they bleed out.

-However, because of the growing population and lack of discipline given to the children, the villagers have come to believe that he was killing them without rhyme or reason.

-So instead of being a “boogeyman” for parents to tell their children about, he became a horrific beast with a high reward for his horn. This lead to many hunters wanting to capture him and cut off his horn so they could receive the reward (or even harness the magic itself).

-Out of fear the Abath ended up killing many hunters out of self-defense, and he feels utterly remorseful for each corpse he eats.

-Because of that he becomes even more secluded, living off of animals and crying in the caves he hides in.

-While he can disguise himself as a unicorn, his legs are horribly deformed and his horn cannot use its magic (since all of it’s being used to give him that form)

-He’s scared to look at his reflection in the water. Seeing his horse/human face will make him cry, which can be heard echoing throughout the forest.

-For the most part he’s always naked, but doesn’t have any genitalia.

-His lower half is similar to a satyr’s, with white fur, horse hooves, and a long tail with a fluffy tip. He always washes those off in the nearest stream since they’re the only parts of himself that he likes.

-The only friends he has are the deer that seem to be drawn to him.

[Romance]

-The Abath is fairly shy about physical affection, but he’ll curl up against you when you’re both sitting by a fire in a cave during a rainstorm. Usually that’s where he falls asleep.

-If he comes to you crying about a nightmare where he killed you, though, holding him is the best thing you can do. They’re quite frequent so he’ll really need a hug and some calming words.

-He’ll change into his unicorn form for you so you can ride on his back (despite his limp) and pet his mane/fur.

-Sometimes you’ll bring him clothes from town for him to wear just so he looks warm and decent.

-His favorites are cloaks, shirts, and hoodies. Pants and shoes make him uncomfortable for obvious reasons.

-You’ll introduce him to carrots and other non-meat food that horses like, which he adores. He becomes a lot healthier-looking as a result.

-He’ll take you to the rivers and together you’ll both go swimming. 

-He may find a rock at the bottom that reminds him of you and give it to you wrapped in leaves later on.

-Will always use his magic to heal you, no matter how tiny or painless the injury is.

-In a way he feels like he's atoning for all of the people he used to hurt, so you allow him to heal all of your injuries since it makes him happy.
