Ride to Work Community Breakfast

Ride to work via the Abbotsford Convent on Wednesday 16 October and not only will you be treated to a free and scrumptious community breakfast, you will be travelling in a healthy and sustainable way and may even win a prize for your efforts.

Cyclists are invited to head down to the Convent from 7.30-9.30am on Oct 16 to meet and chat with fellow riders and share breakfast together. On the menu there will be coffee, bircher muesli, pastries, fruit, corn fritters, fried eggs and miso soup.

The Convent Archibike Prize - how to win the ultimate bicycle prize pack...

Post a creative portrait of your bicycle on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #conventarchibikeprize and you could win big. All photos will be posted in an album on the Convent's Facebook Page for a public vote. The winning portrait - with the most Facebook likes - will win a Double Dutch Lekker bicycle, courtesy of Urban Bicycles, bicycle books from Readings and bike accessories from Knog and Ecostore. The winner will be announced at breakfast on the day.

This event will be hosted by the Abbotsford Convent Foundation and is supported by the City of Yarra, the Convent Bakery, Lentil as Anything, St. Heliers Cafe, Kappaya and Bursaria. Thanks for your support!! 

It is part of National Ride2Work Day, an Australian-wide initiative to encourage bike riding to minimise traffic and promote health and sustainability, all things that are very important to the Abbotsford Convent.
