Welcome to ABC-Darling, an in-progress queer and neurodivergent dating sim!

First of all, hello! We’re the Cinnamon Spice System, and I’m Neph, the host. Our main blog is here if you wanna see what we’re up to other than this silly game (although we won’t post very much).

I know what you’re thinking. What the heck IS ABC-Darling!? Well, you’re not alone, because it doesn’t exist yet.

Long story short, ABC-Darling! is a silly dating simulator that’s been brewing in our mindscape for several years now, and we’ve only just started making major progress on it.

It’s a HUGE project, with the following features planned for the final release:

26 datable characters, each named after a letter of the alphabet. Each one has their own gender identity, orientation, neurodivergence, and/or other labels!

At least 3 scenes per dedicated character route (that’s at least 78 unique scenes help me), with platonic and queerplatonic variations!

A bunch of miscellaneous scenes that are designed to flesh out the cast and boost friendship points!

Tired of video games only having she/her or he/him pronoun options? Say goodbye to the gender binary and say hello to our write-in pronoun system!

Write any pronouns you want, toggle between plural and singular conjugations, and change them anytime you like in the game menu!

There’s also an option to use “we/us” first-person pronouns instead of “I/me” for the player character!

Your gender identity doesn’t come up in-game except in a select few routes, where you will get the chance to select any and all identities that apply to you.

This is only used for characters with an orientation that excludes one or more of the options. If your identity is excluded, you will still be able to see their platonic or queerplatonic route! Plus, once you’ve beaten the game once, you can toggle free-play mode where there’s no exclusions at all!

Minigames (at least two are planned right now, but there will probably be more)!

A gift system! Buy and send gifts to the characters to (hopefully) get a boost in friendship!

Lots and lots of secrets!

As you can see, this is a very ambitious undertaking (especially for just one system of people), and it won’t be done for quite a while. Fortunately, we’ve been working on the demo for quite a while now! The demo will only contain the full routes of the first 4 characters of the alphabet, with a few other characters to help accent the game. We’re planning to release the demo by the end of 2023!
