One of the oldest elven myths relates to the god Corellon Larethian and how he once upheld the world on his shoulders.
In order to protect the world from the evil manifestations of Lolth, he quite literally took the world into his arms, placed it on his back, and shielded it from the legion of spiders.
It’s a well-known elven tale, that of Toril-on Larethian.
