1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Notes: Psalm 14:1-2 explains that a "fool" is someone who denies God's existence in their heart, leading to a corrupt and sinful life where they do "abominable deeds". The verses state that these people have become depraved and have all turned away from doing good, as the Lord looks down from heaven and finds no one who understands or seeks Him. This denial is often motivated by a desire to be free from God's moral law to live however they please.
