Weird route ch 5 is undoable.
Read to the end to figure out what I mean.
So I haven't seen enough people talk about this or even acknowledge it but there is some huge stuff for chapter 6.
Everyone is either focused on the normal route or chapter 7. But I think we need to consider what might happen in chapter 6 "canceled" weird route.
There was a lot of things in chapter 5 but one of the things that caught my attention was the implications of aborted weird route's affecting the chapter.
(If you aborted weird route before the chapter.)
(If you abort weird route chapter 5)
And this is only what I feel like stood out the most or I noticed.
The game makes it VERY clear that we can't technically change the prophecy, only interpret it in different ways. But with the amount of detail in decisions in chapter 5 shows us that what we do, DOES effect the characters.
And when you abort the chapter 5 weird route (I would like to mention that it is almost impossible to do so because of how deep were in.) things change and stay changed. Noelle? She doesn't go back to her jolly cheerful self, she remembers all that's happened up to that moment. And that Jingle, the one that told us if we aborted the weird route or made it worse, never plays. If you abort chapter 5 weird route, you are only told it's aborted by Noelle's disappointment and acceptance that what happened might not have happened
So now this girl who had been growing this expectation is shot down and believes the dark world to be a dream.
So what I'm worried about is how she'll react when Susie tells Noelle that the darkworld's are real in chapter 6. Because the weird route Noelle that finds that out vs the normal route Noelle will be completely different.
One last thing I would like to connect is how similar Noelle's story seems to Spamton's. Quick summary (Sorry for mistakes): Spamton wasn't the best at being a salesman, probably the worst in his group. Nothing he did could change the cycle that was his life. One day though, he gets a call, someone who guides him. And soon he's a BIG SHOT, his sales sky rocket. And right when he's so close to the last thing he needs to permanently change and he's just suddenly dropped.
Noelle was tired of her same life, same day, same cycle. So when all this new Kris starts changing that, changing the cycle she's grown used to. She's scared, until she realizes it could be the key to FINALY make a change, but when she needs the new Kris the most, their gone.
Jevil is almost in a similar situation actually: His whole idea of the world was shifted and he no longer thought any of it was real. He thought everyone else was trapped while he was free. Like everyone else was stuck in a cycle while only he could act on his own.
I haven't been able to do a deep enough dive for Noelle but that's what I understand for now.
