what is your character reluctant to tell people? - Bastian

“Well I’m not about to confess something like that, now am I?” 

Bastian refuses to talk to anyone about his life before he became a demon. He was never a mortal, but he did have an existence on Earth before. Once, long ago, he was the son of a god, and he made a deal with the masters of hell to save the soul of his mortal mother. He had a family, once upon a time. But he refuses to even acknowledge that in his own mind. There was another name, long ago, but now no one even knows what it is—except Bastian himself, and he’ll never tell.

Bastian doesn’t have a long list of likes. He likes murder, well-cut suits, dark red wine, torturing those who cross him, expensive watches, fountain pens, and above all else, his wife. His list of dislikes is far longer. He doesn’t like anything messy, illogical people, being told what to do, pointless small-talk, people who question his abilities, anyone who digs into his past, not being able to do what he pleases... the list goes on and on.

books i’m currently reading: I only read one book at a time (I’m reareading the alpha’s home by dessa lux right now because I’ve been feeling kind of sad and they’re my go to feel wanted/found family books) but the last three I put on my kindle to read were duck! by kim dare (very fucking good, very kinky, very emotionally traumatizing, my favorite things), the dinner by herman koch (I’m reading this because I saw the movie and fucking LOATHED it but the pretense is so compelling I hope the book is better), how to be a normal person by tj klune (holy shit please read this book? it’s an ace romance and it’s done so well, it’s written by an ace author. it’s so. good.)
