The Guardian, who is now lost, is present in nearly all of these. My friend, if you ever have the chance of listening to this- I am sorry. I did what I could. Maybe you could have done it better, but we are here now, and I will do what I could not. If this is someone else, the task has fallen to you now. The events here are things that must happen, time and time again to ensure that we meet the Guardian. If I failed, you know what to do.

The list goes on to compile all of the Guardians first notable achievements, and their battles against various hive gods. Saint has never heard of this "Guardian", this "Young Wolf", and he knows for sure the Vanguard would be keeping an eye on someone this powerful, but Saint himself is no stranger to the way time works within the Forest. This message is likely met for someone in the future. However... it seems as though something happened to this Guardian, and Osiris is prepared to give his life to bring them back from wherever they went. He plays the recording again, just to hear Osiris's voice. One that isn't an echo but he still sounds... wrong. Sad, like he is grieving. This recording isn't specific, isn't letting him know anything other than this Young Wolf were some friend to Osiris, and that has to mean something. It means that somehow, he was found in this dreaded Forest and dragged back into the City to socialize with the rest of them. He keeps the recording. Saint- He can't put it down. Something is telling him that it might be needed.
(It whispers in the back of his mind. He hears static, and footsteps. A voice, sometimes, one that he doesn’t know.
A small part of him wonders if Osiris left a part of himself in the recording somehow.
He shoves the thought aside because that is impossible.
