☛ what is your muse’s biggest regret? (Kahen)
// Uf, this is a tricky one. Kahen doesn’t have many of regrets: he is cold and calculating, and he does (and has done, and will do) whatever he has to to ensure two things: his sister’s safety, and their freedom. He has killed people in cold blood to keep things the way they are, left Antiva to become mercenaries for that, and at times his methods and reasons can be pretty morably questionable.
He knows he’s not a good person (even though he does have some honor and he’s not about killing every innocent passerby), but he also knows that being a good person is not going to guarantee or give them the safety and freedom they need. He does what he has to to reach his goals, and he doesn’t regret a thing about that. He doesn’t regret the people he’s had to kill to make sure Kash is still safe and free. He doesn’t regret pushing people away over suspicious and distrust. He doesn’t regret becoming a sword for hire and doing all he does for coin he needs to make sure that they stay free and safe and that they can live decently for a pair of mercenaries.
What he does regret though... Is that he’s dragging Kash with him. That he cannot give his sister, the only family he has and the person he’s closest with, a life without running and killing and looking over their shoulders every step of the way. He wishes he could give Kash the chance to have a more peaceful life, a better one, but he believes that choice is not one they have. They’ve made their choices, and this is the life they lead now.
☘ hopeful for Kahen and 💔 heartbroken for Kashaadi
Emotions
☘ Hopeful
Kahen doesn’t really do ‘hopeful’. He doesn’t do faith/hope, he does facts. He’s a planner, so to speak. If there are high possibilities something won’t work out, he keeps a straightface and just doesn’t do that thing or get his expectations up. When he knows for a fact something has high chances of success (I swear he treats everything like strategy and statistics), he doesn’t need to get hopeful because he already knows the facts that prove him right. So nah, he doesn’t really do hopeful XD
💔 Heartbroken
Heartbroken Kash would be... pretty harsh. She’d become cold and detached, and even more snappy than she already is. She wouldn’t let herself be sad about it though, putting on the whole “Shut up I’m fine” facade though she is obviously upset. More than sadness or regret she’d feel angry, in a “fuck everything and fuck everyone” way. Probably lasts for a time, too :/ she tends to hold grudges and remember things very clearly.
// Thinking about it, Kash and Kahen must sing pretty nicely. They worked as dockworkers and then sailors, they would know Antivan shanties like the back of their hands... Kash would surely be a contralto, but she laughs a lot while singing too and prefers to do it with a drink in hand. She still does it if drunk enough. Kahen doesn’t sing much anymore, because lol it’s Kahen, but omg he’d be such a wonderful baritone hfghfdkjhg. But nowadays he prefers to listen to the music instead of singing to them. He particularly enjoys melodies played on string instruments (preferably fiddle/violin and lute)

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines
I don’t really have an alternate timeline for these guys, but I’ll tell you a what if: what if Kahen hadn’t done what he did and gotten his sister away from the Qun. While his quick thinking and stoic nature might have done him well as a member of the Ben-Hassrath, he is too curious and new knowledge for that role so he would not be taken for the role there. However, his loyalty and ease for strategy would’ve earned him a role in the antaam. He would not know what became of Kashaadi: she’d be saarebas and he would have no contact with her.

“DAMN.” Questions for Muses.
DNA. -What was your muses home life like?
So, back with the Qun it was pretty simple. They were just children, so they did they part learning about the Qun from their Tamassran, preparing for their roles. But they left before they could be assigned to them, so there’s that.
As for their life after the Qun... It was still pretty simple, they were taken in by a merchant from Antiva that was the one to find them as stowaways in the ship that they fled in, and he saw they could be of help. They didn’t have a fancy life growing up, they were just workers at the docks handling goods, helping at the warehouses, or even going along to help when the ships had to sail off. Kahen really liked that part, and he’s very fond of sailing. Though they had the added difficulty of being Tal Vashoth in a world of humans, andin a country that isn’t very fond of them exactly. They understood that they had little chances of ever feeling at home and accepted in Antiva, as much as they were content with their simple lifestyle and hardwork. So they became mercenaries: it paid better, they could choose who they worked for, and they didn’t need a place to ‘feel accepted’ or at home since they’d be on the move all the time. Plus, Kahen considered it safer than staying in one place forever.
LUST. -Who does your muse find attractive?
Kash... Kash will hit on anyone. She’s shameless about that. But when it comes to sincerely finding someone attractive... She likes people for their particularities. The one thing that makes them obviously different from others. People who have a little spark and fierceness, who are not afraid to stand up for themselves. She likes a bit of confidence.
Kahen on the other hand... He is complicated. He is attracted to people with a sense of curiosity. People who ask the smart questions, and that can think for themselves and move forward like that. Someone who observes the world around them and does something with that knowledge... He prefers calmer people too, someone who doesn’t mind a bit of quiet. He finds it VERY attractive when people surprise him... Though he’s very confused by it too XD He doesn’t know how to deal with attraction.
XXX. -What’s the raunchiest thing your muse has ever done? (Kash)
Threesomes, and stuff with even more people *hides face* Definitely. Kash likes to spice things up a little...

Meta: their bloodlines, if there's history of twins in their family, who was actually born first, did they have complications because they were twins?
Send me a topic to write a meta about my muse on
//Oooh complicated topic XD The twins are offspring to a tamassran and a sten, and that’s basically all I know about their parents and family (and they don’t even know the father, so yeah there’s that too). What I do know, is that they were treated as any other child under the Qun, except that their being twins was seen as a potential advantage growing up for the particular bonds some twins can share (not so much on an affective level but one of understanding each other. Strategic), and so they were kept in the same kith. They did share that affective bond, however, being children as they were, and that bond ended up in their flight when Kash first came to her magic at age eleven. While Saarebas are actually respected under the Qun, though seen as very dangerous, Kahen couldn’t bare the thought of being separated from his twin. That is the actual reason behind reasons why he was urged to flee.
And despite how much Kahen insists it’s not an important matter and calls it silly to even think about it... Kash is right, and she was born first XD If she really knew that for a fact (she says it just as a joke to get on Kahen’s nerves, she doesn’t actually know it’s true), she’d never let Kahen forget about it. She also got the greater height, if only by an inch, and larger horns lol.
I do imagine there were some complications for their birth, considering Qunari babies must not be small by the time they’re ready to be born. But with how advanced Qunari are in medicine, I think they’d have a much better chance of being ready for multiple childbirth than other races and cultures. Thus, both twins were born healthy: just Kahen was smaller and growing up he was slightly more prone to getting sick than Kash. But what he lacked in that sense, he made up with cleverness and strategic thinking.
2, 3, 4, (both!)
For every ✍ + a number I receive, I will share one headcanon for my muse about…
2. …being touched.
KASH: Oh she won’t back away from touch unless it’s aggressive (in which case you might get a hard headbutt, punch, eyebrows burned off, or if it’s in a fight you’re getting a full raging qunari mage on you so… not recommended).
KAHEN: Not shy about casual touch, but the moment he realizes he has feelings for someone it’s like “oh shit I’m holding their hAND”
3. …how long they hold grudges
KASH: She’s... complicated. She may make it look like she doesn’t care, but she’s... revengeful. Do her wrong on purpose and you’re going to have a bad time. Very bad. She might not even take excuses or apologies (this runs more with actions than insults though).
KAHEN: is a wary man. If someone plays tricks on him or does him or his sister (especially his sister) wrong, he’ll definitely hold a grudge, possibly get payback and it will be really hard to win his trust back (that if the offender wants it anyway). If not given a sincere apology and proof that the person is sorry and doesn’t want to offend in such manner again, Kahen will hold on to that grudge indefinitely.
4. …how sensitive they are to insults.
KASH: Eh, sometimes she’ll reply with sass, other times she’ll punch you in the gut. It really depends on the insult, but she does take them to heart and won’t just let them pass and let the offender get away with them like nothing happened.
KAHEN: He will DEFINITELY reply with sass (smartass sass) or outright ignore the person like they’re not even worth his time. He’s already assumed people will insult them, and he’s ready for that.
