Lisette had never doubted that she would be Frankie’s, and the day that she could accept her Domme’s collar was the best day of her life.  And while Simon hadn’t been who she expected to be the other half of her double claim - he had seemed so against the whole idea of being a sub when they’d first met - she was delighted to fulfill her dream and be a part of one.  They had grown closer as time went on, as well, the three of them forming a stable and happy claim.

With her part time job as a bartender getting her out of the house occasionally and supplying some extra income, Lisette was always happy to get home again.  There was a house to look after and a brilliant Dom to support and serve as she became a doctor, and that was where the majority of her time and effort was spent.  Every day was another chance to serve, and every day she was happier than the one that came before.  It hurt her that Frankie’s mother didn’t think much of her or really acknowledge her, but her Mistress had warned her long ago that it would be an issue and she was able to work through that hurt.

i feel like talking about my indie ocs who don’t usually get the spotlight so here we go man. this is gonna be long. it’s going under a cut.

🌟 …someone my muse trusts. - lisette collins

some backstory on lisette here - she started out as a character for a school project, a 19th century immigrant from england to canada for history class, and then she was… reincarnated? an ancestor? i don’t remember 12 y/o me’s logic. anyway, she ended up as a space captain with cool hair who was really gay for her second-in-command and buds with the mechanic. then she was a dr oc, and now she’s an indie oc w/ a dr verse!

anyway. the way the story went for 19th-century-immigrant-lisette is that she ended up going to canada completely alone. the first person she met was eve johnson, who got her a job and helped her find a place to stay. they became very good friends, and that’s something that’s stayed the same through both that ‘verse and lisette’s current indie one! basically: eve and lisette are best friends and care about each other a lot, and would probably trust each other with their lives - regardless of time period.

💔 …someone who broke my muse’s heart. - diana

diana is the melancholic ghost who haunts the house she died in - or, rather, the reconstruction of the house she died in. (currently, the bates family lives there, but that’s not important to this story.) her story isn’t a happy one. 

see, diana was born as the only heir to a reasonably wealthy family. there was a lot of pressure for her to marry, to continue the family line. and one day, a handsome young stranger came to town. diana was smitten. he was such a nice young man - respectable, well brought up, willing to work hard. it seemed like a perfect match, and so, plans were made for the two to marry. 

but strangely, the night after the wedding, a fire began in the family home, where the newlyweds were to spend the night before moving out. it raged through the house (most of it survived, though, being well-built and made of stone - the next owners repaired the damage.) and only the newest addition to the family survived. diana’s husband received the entire inheritance, sold what remained of the house... and was never seen again.

these two were my first oc ship so. let’s talk about them.

one’s a social butterfly and gardener who’s friends with everyone and has domesticated a variety of incredibly carnivorous plant! one’s an artificial intelligence in an android body who escaped from a mysterious scientific organization in the woods and is really into cute clothes! they date!

...that was meant as a joke but it’s not a bad description, honestly. claudia has lived in anders her whole life, like most of the teenagers who live in town, and she really is friends with just about everyone. she loves people - she loves being around them, she loves her friends, she thinks humanity is capable of incredible things - but she loves beta most. beta, on the other hand, found her way out of the facility she was developed in during an incident that she knows was very chaotic but doesn’t remember well otherwise. she's completely fascinated by, well.... everything. she loves learning, and is endlessly curious and inquisitive. she also thinks pretty clothes are really neat, because in a sparse technological facility, she never saw much of them. 

claudia’s the one who found her when she first showed up, and took her to local Weird Tech Expert tuesday, who beta stayed with for a while. still, she and claudia got along well, and spent a lot of time together. and then they fell in love. there was more to it than that i promise but this is long enough as is.

😒 …someone my muse hates. - marcelle devereaux

i can’t go into a lot of detail with this one (which may be a good thing, considering how long my answers for the rest have been so far) since it’s spoilers for a story i’m working on - but. there’s only one person marcelle really, really can’t stand. she’s usually fairly level-headed, and surprisingly forgiving. but there’s an exception. fittingly, that person happens to be the major antagonist of the story.

why does marcelle have so little sympathy for them? in the vaguest terms possible, both she and them had a responsibility to uphold, one that was actually incredibly important. both of them knew how important these responsibilities were - and the other person chose, deliberately, to not just neglect their responsibility but to sabotage it, causing harm to others and making it near impossible for marcelle to uphold her equally important responsibility. and, with that event shortly in the past, thus begins the story marcelle stars in.

🔥…someone my muse would die for. - ren tsutsumi

ok, yeah, not an indie oc (although i guess if antoinette has an indie verse ren probably should too, huh) but man i have a lot of feelings and ideas about rencosette i want to talk about. it hasn’t been suuuper developed yet but i do have Ideas of where it Could Go.

see, ren is a character who is impulsive and emotional - she throws herself into things pretty heavily. so when she finds herself falling for cosette, she’s reluctant at first, it’s something she’s not really familiar with, actual romantic feelings, but they’re strong emotions, and she likes cosette already, and ren is ruled by her emotions. i can see ren developing very strong feelings for her, and there being a very real devotion there -  possibly the same could be said for cosette. but tbh that’s for fish to say. but i could see it happening, man. 

💀 …someone my muse would kill for.  - roxanne de witt

there is exactly one person roxanne de witt would kill for: her employer, the same woman who made her what she is today. in fact, roxanne has killed for her, time and time again. she is known only as “madam” to everyone, it seems - not even roxanne knows her real name. she’s never asked.

roxanne is technically employed by madam, but she’s also the only person with whom her loyalties truly lie. roxanne sees everyone else as a means to an end, disposable, but she would never even think of betraying madam - even if she is fully aware that she herself is the deadliest thing in her employer’s arsenal.

👻 …someone my muse considers a best friend. - katsu mizushima

okay, okay, not an indie oc either, but honestly? i will never get tired of talking about katsu’s relationship with @terriblefxtes‘ ryba. the surface dynamic is fun, definitely - bubbly, energetic character drags her more level-headed but still not the smartest best bud into all kinds of wacky hijinks - and i love trying to come up with wackier hijinks than the last ones with fish, but honestly there is so much platonic love there. they care about each other so much, and are always there for each other. there’s jokes, there’s messing around and just having fun, but there’s also real support. and honestly, between two characters who don’t always have or feel like they have people they can trust in their lives, that’s so great to see? i love it. i also really love that neither fish nor i really know when or how they became such good friends, they just did

she likes the smell of like... wood fires, if that makes sense? i’m not sure how to describe it. but like. when you burn wood in a fireplace? that.

(there might be a little bit of overlap w/ fantasy aus too whoops)

lisette is a clockwork automaton! she sometimes has to perform repairs on herself and has a big empty cavity in her chest that she uses as a toolbox. she also makes a faint ticking noise all the time, which makes sense cause. clockwork.

chouko is a hamadryad, a tree spirit that’s connected to a specific tree. if that tree gets hurt or dies, so does chouko. i’m not entirely sure what sort of tree she is but?? do not touch her tree or any of the other trees in that forest she will FIGHT you

kaiyo’s a pixie but like... one of the nasty ones that tends to screw around with humans. play tricks on them. stuff like that. she’s not always malicious, though - it’s just kinda... in her nature. she is so small, though, tiny, tiny kaiyo.

riku is basically a zombie?? like... a reanimated corpse. he is adjusting surprisingly well and cheerfully to being dead, even though he sometimes falls apart.

takara’s still a changeling! she has all the weaknesses to iron, salt, etc. that fairies tend to have and she... basically tries to hide that fact that she isn’t human as much as possible because she very much wants to be Normal and to Fit In.
