oda confirmed that luffy doesn't really like alcohol but will drink it during parties and stuff - he's a social drinker

I love luffy’s personality SO MUCH. I love it when he’s careless and reckless and just doesn’t give a shit about pretty much anything, making everyone frustrated. But when he acts all badass? caring about everyone? being the sensible one? looking for a way to take control of the situation and save the day? taking his role as captain so seriously? with that look™ in his eyes? I LOVE THAT EVEN MORE.

✉ :Do they tend to rely on words or actions more?

It depends. Pretty much both. Luffy has basically no filter between his brain and mouth - he will say what he wants and won’t consider people’s feelings when he speaks. If he has a problem with you, he’ll tell you straight to your face. 

And more often than not if he is angry at someone not only will he shout it - he’ll also fight them. For any emotions he has you will be able to tell how Luffy feels just by his body language. Luffy is a really expressive person physically and verbally.

Nah. If you wish for things and it comes true, then it takes the fun out of everything. If he wants something to happen, he’ll make it happen with his own two hands.

☁ :Describe how they would spend a stormy, overcast/rainy day.

answered! Basically he would wish for it to end or just disregard the storm entirely and go about his day.

☛ :What is their typical response to being given orders?

answered! Basically he will either not even notice it’s an order or won’t be happy at all.

⊗ :What is something that causes them to question themself?

Oh gosh. Luffy doesn’t question himself often. He believes in what he believes and does what he wants to do and doesn’t waver - often. 

The only times he has ever questioned himself would be when he lost his whole crew when Kuma sent them flying and when Ace died. He hadn’t ever lost completely before then. He would lose battles, but he would always be able to get back up and defeat the enemy next time. 

So the only times he would question himself would be when he loses someone important to him. He is determined to protect everyone - he doesn’t want to lose anyone ever again - but those two instances he wasn’t able to protect those he wanted to.

However, both times he managed to pick himself back up. When he lost his crew he knows that while he failed to protect them all - as long as they are all alive they can try again. With Ace - well he was reminded of his nakama and realized he still had people he needed to protect and couldn’t just give up. He may question himself, but those moments don’t last long. He is a stubborn person.

☾ :On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?

Not many things could keep Luffy from sleep. If he were unable to sleep - he would think about his nakama. If he was on his ship he would just look across the room they all sleep in and think about their adventures. And now that he knows Sabo is alive - he would think about him too. 

Since here he has Sabo and Ace with him but not his nakama he would think about his brothers more and trust his nakama are safe because they have gotten strong. He would just think about what he has and what he is fighting for. It’ll help to have someone there with him to talk to or at least just be there so Luffy isn’t alone. Then, he’ll go back to sleep.

☠ :Are there any recent/daily thoughts they have about death or dying?

Luffy doesn’t dwell on thoughts about deaths or about dying. He knows very well that there is a large possibility of him dying with his ambitions, but to him dying while trying to achieve your dream is better than surviving and not trying. 

Even with being stranded here, his only thoughts were about how to leave - since he doesn’t believe it when he is told that he will not be able to leave - and after finding out that his brothers are here - he is perfectly happy. He wants to find his nakama but he trusts them to be strong enough to stay alive. He isn’t scared and he doesn’t think about how he might die - he has too many adventures to experience to think about that stuff.

♥ :Name one thing about the way their emotions work that they despise.

Luffy doesn’t really think that way either. He smiles and laughs when he is happy. He cries when he is upset. He beats people up when he is mad. If he doesn’t like something - even if it were his own emotions - he will just change it.

☁ :Describe how they would spend a stormy, overcast/rainy day.

Well before on Sunny he would probably be inside causing havoc one way or another. He’ll be wanting the rain to stop so that he can go out on deck again. Luckily Sunny is bigger than Merry was so even if he was stuck inside there should be something to entertain him long enough.

Here, he’ll probably find some shelter in a tree or something. Or still run around despite the storm and try to get meat. He won’t care about getting wet. When he was a child he was blown away by a storm but by now he is old enough to prevent that or at least not be in any danger if he does.

I don’t know about calming, but Luffy’s favourite weather is summer weather. Probably because he can run around and be outside as much as he wants. He finds snow really pretty and tends to be slow to notice he is even cold. He doesn’t like extremely hot weather and will complain nonstop about it.

☛ :What is their typical response to being given orders?

Well if it’s something like Nami telling everyone where to go on their ship, he’ll follow since she is his navigator. But those aren’t exactly orders anyways - it’s just her role and he trusts her to make those decisions so he will listen.

But, he is the captain so he won’t be taking orders from anyone. Even if it were his older brothers he wouldn’t take orders from them. He would most likely just brush off the order, taking it more of a suggestion. If he doesn’t want to do it he won’t. He may also get mad if it is something that offends him or challenges his power. Like if someone tries to decide the course of his ship.
