What if... ABST RWBY SHOW (V3) Part 2

6- Hunted, aka "The Chase is On"

Team RWBY watched as Ruby and Qrow fled from the mini-Nevermores unleashed by Winter; Winter then entered the room with Penny, walked to the window, and looked in the direction the Nevermores had gone, ordering Penny to follow the creatures. Weiss saw her older sister and moved to approach and speak to her, but she couldn't; the moment Weiss got close, Winter had already leapt from the window to follow Penny's trail. The scene would continue as a chase involving the two pairs: Qrow and Winter, and Penny and Ruby. Qrow and Winter would engage in the same fight they had in Volume 3. Then comes the good part: Penny versus Ruby. Penny would start by asking Ruby to surrender and stand trial; Ruby would insist on her innocence, and a fight would break out, though Ruby wouldn't fight back she would only defend herself or dodge attacks. After a good few minutes, Ruby would stop and talk to Penny about how she had taught her to be "human" and a good friend. Penny would then decide to side with her and take her to where Qrow and Winter were both exhausted from their battle. Penny would remark that she wouldn't arrest Ruby, as Ruby would then declare she was going to tell the whole truth and prove her innocence.

7- The Truth Part 1 The episode would begin with a brief recap of events from previous episodes. It would follow the same opening as the original showing how Cinder met Emerald, Mercury, and the others but with a major change: instead of Adam and the White Fang, it would feature the Branwen Tribe, with Easter eggs of a younger Nora and Ren visible in the background. Rather than cutting to the fight between Yang and Mercury, the scene would shift to Ozpin and the others showing Amber’s body or at least what remained of it to Pyrrha. I wanted to adapt a concept from Absolute Green Lantern, where power is deeply tied to the physical body; so, we could say the Amber inside the chamber is missing an arm and a leg because Cinder took part of the power, effectively stealing a portion of the person's soul in the process. Ozpin was about to say a little more about the "destiny Pyrrha would have to accept," but his Scroll beeped; it was Glynda, informing them that Ruby had turned herself in to clear her name. Everyone left the chamber except Pyrrha, who stood gazing at the comatose Amber, bringing the episode to a close.

8-The Truth Part 2

The episode would begin with Ruby arriving at Beacon accompanied by Penny, facing jeers from some students present at the scene. Team (RW)BY would spot Ruby's arrival; Yang would run over to hug her little sister and defend her against the students. Ruby would be happy to see her sister standing up for her and would look toward her other teammate. Blake would wave butshe would not approach, believing that turning herself in and letting justice take its course was the right choice. This would hurt Ruby, though she wouldn't be able to dwell on it, as Penny would take her to Ozpin's office to face judgment by him and other key figures at Beacon.

You, the reader, are probably wondering, "Wow, where is Weiss at this crucial moment?" Here is your answer: Weiss was running through the corridors of Beacon when she spotted her sister, who was already on her way out. Weiss asked if she couldn't stay a bit longer perhaps to train her but Winter was cold and curt, stating that she hadn't come for a family reunion or anything of the sort; it was just a job, nothing more. Irritated by Winter's response and angry at the way her older sister always treated her, Weiss tried to show how strong she had become by summoning a part of a Grimm she had previously defeated. Winter easily destroyed the summoned limb; in return, she summoned an adult Nevermore and made it flap its wings, blasting Weiss backward. Then, Weiss heard just one thing from her older sister: "Try that again, and I promise you, the strong wind will be the least of your problems." And so, the episode ends with Weiss crying.

9- JUDGMENT The episode would begin with Ruby's trial to determine her guilt or innocence. It would feature the standard elements of such a scene, but the deciding factor would be the footage of the crime: it would be revealed that the "Ruby" who committed the act was holding the weapon with the wrong hand, thereby proving the real Ruby's innocence. However, just then, a massive explosion would be heard; across Vale and Beacon, the symbol of the chess piece would appear on the big screens, followed by Cinder’s speech. This would draw the attention of the Grimm, bringing the episode to a close. (Yeah short one for drama!)

10- Battle of Beacon(Part 1) The episode would open from the perspective of a city extra fleeing from Grimm, only to be saved by Yang moments later. Since this universe leans toward a bleaker tone, it wouldn't just be a small horde like in the original episode; it would be a *Helldivers*-level swarm. We would follow the Huntsmen as they defeat the Grimm attacking the city and Beacon, tracking the same events as the Battle of Beacon.

The extra elements I would add are: Ruby telling Yang she was going after Roman, with Yang wishing her little sister good luck; Jaune, Ren, and Nora having a teamwork moment against the Grimm, followed by Jaune saying he was going to look for Pyrrha to check on her; and the episode ending with three separate storylines, Ruby heading toward the fight against Neo and Roman, Jaune going to check on Pyrrha, and Cinder calmly making her way to where Amber was located.

11- Battle of Beacon(Part 2)

The episode would begin by following Ruby's story, featuring the same fight from "Heroes and Monsters" involving Ruby, Neo, and Roman; Roman would meet a fate similar to the canon version (stay tuned for the final episode). We would then shift to Jaune meeting Ozpin and begging to know where Pyrrha was. Ozpin would sigh and lead Jaune to the room containing the power-transfer chambers, where Pyrrha was already inside. Ozpin would instruct Jaune to stand guard while he initiated the Maiden power transfer procedure. Next, we would follow Cinder's story: she would arrive at the room and attempt to stop the process. Unlike in the canon, the procedure would actually work—with Pyrrha protecting Jaune from an attack by Cinder, Though her body would still be adjusting to the Maiden powers. Ozpin would tell Jaune and Pyrrha to flee, saying he would hold Cinder off to allow their escape; the episode would end with Cinder and Ozpin locked in combat. (Oh, and yes, the event involving Yang and Blake did happen, but it wasn't Adam it was a Grimm.)

12- End of the Beginning

Everything would play out much like the original episode up to the fight between Pyrrha and Cinder (yes, the kiss happened). It would be a balanced fight, but due to the recent aura transfer, Amber's memories would begin to affect Pyrrha, distracting her and allowing Cinder to land the fatal blow; Cinder would then absorb Pyrrha and her powers. Ruby would arrive, and events would unfold just as they did in the canon. Now, regarding the aftermath: due to the massive destruction at Beacon and in Vale, communication hubs were severely damaged, preventing Blake and Weiss from returning to their respective kingdoms; consequently, they would stay with Ruby, Yang, and JNPR at Tai's house. The ending would remain the same, though the group's objective would be to travel to the next kingdom to inform their families of their safety and the events that transpired at Beacon.

ORIGINAL POST-CREDITS SCENE!

We return to the days following the Beacon incident, but before Ruby wakes up. We see Roman emerging battered and bruised from the Grimm that had swallowed him whole. Upon stepping out, he spots two figures: Ren and Nora. Nora is holding Crescent Rose. Confused and annoyed, Roman starts cursing at them, calling them "Raven's lapdogs." Nora points her weapon at Roman and fires, killing him instantly. The scene shifts to Raven at her camp, receiving news of what Ren and Nora have done. She hangs up and looks toward two figures standing in her room: one large and powerfully built, and the other appearing to have a tail.

Fun idea for your Absolute RWBY:

Pyrrha that instead of being a champion she is a nobody that gets ignored by anyone, including her mother.

Then one day Jaune, who’s known as the Rusted Knight and is a (mentally scarred) living legend saved her life and healed her. Since then she had been following him as her self-proclaimed squire, devoted to him to a concerning degree. Jaune is so desperate for company that lets her follow him even if he’s concerned by her behavior.

Okay, first of all, this is my first ask on an AU, and this is amazing.

Secondly, while I do have something in store for Jaune, Pyrrha, and all of JNPR (because you can't write RWBY without JNPR), I really like this idea too. Specially in how it takes the 'iconic' dynamic of Jaune and Pyrrha as apprentice and master and flips it around.

So, let's call the following an 'apocryphal' of Absolute RWBY:

Jaune never knew what the girl was doing in the middle of a Grimm-infested forest. He tried asking her once, and all he got was a cryptic "because no one cared." He quickly realized he shouldn't ask again. However, that wasn’t the most troubling thing about Pyrrha, or even the fact that she refused to give a last name.

The most troubling part was that Jaune didn’t have a choice but to take her in.

When he found her, the Ursa had already swiped at her side. He made quick work of the Grimm, driving Oxida Mors into its skull. But Pyrrha was badly hurt, and they were at least a day’s trip from the closest town. Her only hope, if it could be called that, was to unlock her Aura and risk awakening a Semblance and getting marked as a Huntress.

Jaune likes to think he considered all the options, but that was a lie. He just rushed at her, tried to use his own Semblance to heal her, and when he realized she had no Aura, he started to recite.

“For it is in struggle that we achieve immortality. Through this, we overcome what we are and reach those who need us. Infinite in the future and unbound by the past, I release your soul, and by my hand, heal thee.”

After that, it was all downhill.

Although Pyrrha was safe and sound, she refused to go back home. Instead, she got it in her head that she wanted to be Jaune’s ‘squire’. He refused her so many times that by the first day, they both lost count. But once they finally reached her town, and he was sure he could drop her at her home, Jaune felt a tug on his armor.

He looked down, and it was encased in a black aura.

Behind him, Jaune saw Pyrrha extending both hands at him, covered in the same black aura. She was indeed controlling it, pulling Jaune back by the armor with a magnetic force.

With a Semblance.

In the end, Pyrrha argued she was safer under Jaune’s protection than by herself. And if he kept refusing her, she would just go to the Hunter’s guild and get her Emblem anyway.

But that wasn’t why Jaune didn’t have a choice. He could still have left her at the guild to be trained by better, more experienced Hunters, instead of letting her follow him around with a second-hand shield and sword. Instead, he didn’t have a choice because, by all accounts, Pyrrha was the first person to ever show Jaune any care. And, if she was being honest, so was he for her.

And that was indeed the most troubling thing about Pyrrha: that Jaune needed her company as much as she needed his training.

Absolute jaune and Penny Meet team RWBY. How would it go?

The weirdest part of this whole situation is that this is the second time in a row I write a character changing their appearance and name in order to hide from Atlas.

Also, sorry for the long waiting period. End/start of the year's workload was killer.

Anyhow, enjoy the sequel to Guardian Grimm.

Jaune was holding Penny's hand when they made it to the Hunters' Guild the next day. If no one knew them, they looked like brother and younger sister.

But more importantly, Jaune made sure Penny didn't ressemble herself too much. Taking Weiss' advice, Jaune dyed her hair black, as well as buying her theater glasses, and a new orange and black dress. At first, he considered the name Patina, but Penny preferred to be called Copper.

Thus, Jaune and Copper Arc ended up in in the middle of Vale, walking freely and without fear of being recognized. It angered Jaune he hadn't thought about disguising Penny before.

As they stood in front of the Vale Guild's house, Jaune thought it was a rather unamusing building.

Despite its fairly larger size, its architecture betrayed it used to be a house. Extra wings added where gardens used to be, windows reinforced, balconies turned into firing platforms. From what Jaune had heard, it belonged to a merchant whose daughter awoke her Aura and Semblance. So, he donated his house and became an administrator for the then declining Hunters Guild, as to ensure his daughter would be safe.

Penny squeezed his hand.

"Is this it?" She asked softly.

"Yeah," Jaune replied. "This is the Guild." He nodded at her as he pushed the door so they could both go in together.

Inside, the Guild was already awake.

Hunters crossed paths in the hallways, weapons slung openly, and Emblems fully in display on their hands without shame or secrecy. Some were talking to each other or sharing a pair of bottles while sitting down. Though Jaune couldn't help but notice how more than a few looked like they hadn't slept properly in days.

For a moment, he considered turning his noodles stand into a cart and bring it to the Guild.

"Name and business?" A serious-looking man with messy green hair asked Jaune from behind the main counter.

"Uh, Jaune and Copper Arc," Jaune replied, noticing the tattoo on the back of the man's hand. "We're here to see Weiss Schnee."

"The Guild isn't responsible for Huntress Schnee actions if she shot at you or in your general direction." The guild secretary recited. "If you are indeed injured, the Guild will gladly cover any and all medical expenses--"

"Doctor Oobleck," Weiss voice interrupted his discourse as she walked over to them from the side. "I invited them over."

"Very well." the doctor nodded. "Off you go mister Arc, little miss Arc."

Weiss guided them upstairs to one of the rooms.

The room Weiss took them to wasn't the office Jaune was expecting. Instead, it was more apt to call it a controlled mess. Weapon parts scattered across the place, schematics pinned wherever there was space on the walls, half-disassembled machinery resting on sturdy tables, and more than a couple of toolboxes lying around. Plus, the air smelled faintly of oil and ozone.

"Oh hey!" A girl in a red hoodie popped up from between the metal, goggles perched on her head, fingers blackened with grease. "You must be the Grimm guy!"

"Ruby," Weiss' voice was cutting as she admonished her partner. "I told you that was a secret."

"Whoops, sorry," Ruby apologized, bowing to Jaune. "and sorry to you, mister..."

"Jaune," he introduced himself. "Jaune Arc" He extended his hand.

Instead of shaking it, Ruby looked over to the back of his hand.

"You don't have an emblem," she said, still not taking his hand.

"I'm no Huntsman," he shrugged, lowering his arm.

"And you still beat Weiss?!" Ruby sounded impressed.

"Ruby!" Weiss snapped. It was the most emotion Jaune has seen the woman display since meeting her last night.

"What?" Ruby shrugged. "That wasn't a secret, was it?"

"Ruby..." Weis grunted. "Can you please, just examine Jaune's sister."

"Right." Ruby nodded earnestly, noticing the girl still holding Jaune's left hand. She squatted down, hands resting on her knees as she lowered herself to be at eye level with her.

"What's your name?"

"Copper," she replied, smiling at the energetic girl. "Are you the mechanic that can fix my arm?"

"Well, I don't mean to brag" Ruby scratched her nose with a finger. "But I have fixed almost every mechashifting weapon under this Guild." She tried to pose, loosing her balance from her squat and falling to her side.

Jaune glanced over at Weiss, who simply sighed in exasperation.

"Ruby is as good as she says," she whispered.

"So!" Ruby quickly got up. "What are we fixing today?"

Copper looked up at Jaune, who simply nodded. She then took off her right glove and lifted her sleeve, revealing her damaged arm.

"Oh wow," Ruby said, stepping closer, curiosity bright and unguarded. "SDC design, right?"

Jaune and Weiss stiffed at Ruby's commentary.

"Yes," Copper nodded, smiling widely. "How did you know?"

"It's the little silver lining around the larger plate," Ruby pointed at Copper's mechanical hand. "The SDC loves their branding."

Ruby kept looking over the arm, diagnosing the structural damage, and identifying the type of round and caliber that made it. While doing that just with sight was impressive on its own right, what picked up Jaune's interest was her attitude.

She kept looking at Copper like one would look at a normal child. Never questioning why her arm was mechanical or asking anything private. Ruby didn't even touch the arm at all without asking for Copper's permission first.

"So," Ruby got up from her squat after finishing inspecting Copper's arm. "What are we doing with it?"

"We?" Copper asked.

"Well, yeah. It's your arm to begin with." Ruby began to walk over to her workbench to check her tools. "You want it fixed, remodeled, a new one?" She picked up a set of schematics written in Atlesian. "I'm sure I can even reproduce some of the synthetic skin pigment, if you want to re-cover it."

Ruby turned around to Copper. "Your call."

Copper looked up and back at Jaune. He sighed, not out of tiredness, but out of relief. When Weiss mentioned a Hunter mechanic, he expected some rough blacksmith who would just treat Copper like an object. Not a girl younger than him and making Copper comfortable.

"As she said," Jaune answered, giving Copper a soft smile. "It's your call."

Copper's eyes lighted up. "You think you could add a compartment for a set of knives."

Jaune's smile straightened down rather quick.

"Of course I can," Ruby's eyes lightened up just as much. "Hunting, piercing, throwing, sawed..." she listed with her fingers.

Jaune began to grimace at each mention.

"Actually, I was thinking cooking ones." Penny corrected her. "I want to help mister Arc in the kitchen."

Jaune sighed in relief again, this time feeling Weiss' hand on his shoulder.

"Copper is in good hands," she said, pulling him back so the girl and Ruby could keep talking arms and knives. "And you, 'mister Arc'," Weiss imitated Copper's tone. "Owe me a rematch."

Jaune wanted to wave her a negative, but when he looked back, he saw Weiss looking rather impatient, with her free hand hovering around the pommel of her Myrtenaster.

Welp.

The Guild's training room was a mix of faded elegance and accumulated damage. Ornate pillars and gold-trimmed details were scarred with dents and slashes. Jaune figured it must have once been a party room, maybe even a ballroom, back when the Guild was still a merchant's home, before it was repurposed into something far more violent.

He didn't have much time to appreciate the architecture.

The moment he pulled his sword free of his shield, Weiss was already there, rapier aimed straight for his face. He barely managed to block in time. The impact still drove him back a step, boots scraping against stone.

"Damn," he whistled, shaking the numbness from his arm. "You always go this hard on people?"

"No," Weiss replied calmly, already moving again. A thrust, a sweep, a pivot, all in quick succession. She was each one clean and precise, yet relentless, forcing Jaune fully on the defensive. "But I know you can take it."

"Barely," Jaune panted. "It's not like I can just, you know, use my ‘Semblance' in a room full of Hunters."

He lunged, trying to catch her on the retreat. Weiss danced aside and punished him with a sharp slash to his sword arm.

"I don't see the issue," she said, pausing just long enough to watch the wound knit itself back together, black ichor sealing torn flesh. "As Hunters, we're already humanity's necessary evil."

Glyphs flared into existence. Ice stalactites rained toward him, forcing Jaune into a desperate roll. He came up on one knee, shield raised just in time to catch the final shard, which shattered into a mist of glittering frost.

"Weiss, I don't know if you forgot," he said, rising slowly, shield still up. "But I literally become a Grimm."

"Two of my partners are an exiled Bandit Princess and Sienna Khan's escaped protégé," Weiss replied, resetting her stance with practiced ease. "The Guild only cares about effectiveness and reliability, Jaune."

As if to prove it, she summoned a Beowolf from her Glyphs.

"This is the only place in the world where I'm not seen as evil for having my Semblance."

Jaune sighed. His sword arm blackened, bone plates forming as he slashed through the charging Beowolf, cleaving it in half.

"I still don't know," he admitted as the transformation spread, swallowing the rest of his body. Crocea Mors followed suit, its white and gold shifting into black and red. "The Huntsman life isn't exactly known for being peaceful."

His voice dropped, rough and guttural.

He launched himself at Weiss, monstrous speed cracking the concrete beneath his feet. She skipped aside at the last moment. When she tried to punish the miss, Jaune caught her blade on his shield and bashed back hard enough to force her retreat.

"The pay is good, and the roof on the Guild is sturdy," Weiss said, unfazed by the sudden escalation, leaning harder on her Summons to keep distance.

But the Grimm Knight was relentless.

Nevermores, Boarbatusks, Beowolves, Queen Lancers. They all fell as he closed the gap. That stopped only when two shots struck his eyes. He staggered, snarling, forced to wait as his vision regenerated.

"So you can survive a headshot," Weiss observed, lowering her smoking pistol. "Fascinating."

"It still hurts!" Jaune snapped, blinking until her blurred shape sharpened again. "And I still don't see the point of becoming a Huntsman."

He brought his sword down in a crushing arc, the impact sending a shock through the floor.

"You protecting Copper was already heroic," Weiss said, circling him. "And I doubt that was the first time you protected someone like that."

Bones cracked as Jaune turned to track her. "I do it on my terms."

She darted in, slicing across his ribs. He barely reacted.

"And how long do you think that lasts?" Weiss pressed. "Until someone decides you're too dangerous to ignore?"

He growled and swept his shield wide. A gravity Glyph caught it mid-motion, pulling it down as Weiss slid low and drove Myrtenaster straight through his leg.

Jaune roared, grabbed her wrist as she tried to withdraw, and hurled her across the room.

Weiss slammed into a pillar, denting the gold trim.

She stood anyway, brushing dust from her sleeve. "The Guild can give you protection through legitimacy."

"And a leash," Jaune shot back, charging again.

This time she met him head-on. Fire-Dust-coated Nevermores swarmed to distract him as Weiss layered time Glyphs beneath her feet. Steel rang against bone. Sparks and black ichor scattered with every clash.

Her style shifted. Less fencing and more open war.

"You think Copper is safer hiding?" Weiss asked, leaping high and angling for a drop strike.

Jaune froze for half a heartbeat.

It was all she needed.

Myrtenaster punched through his chest, straight through his heart.

Jaune's guard dropped as he looked down. The rapier was buried to the hilt, its tip protruding from his back, black ichor dripping onto the stone. He dropped to one knee as the Grimm transformation peeled away.

The room fell silent, save for the hum of enchantments and Jaune's ragged breathing.

"Penny would be safer here," Weiss said quietly. "Hunters are already considered monsters. No one would look twice at either of you."

Jaune swallowed and forced himself upright, collapsing Crocea Mors back into sword and scabbard as he secured it at his hip.

"Copper did look happy with Ruby," he admitted. Then he glanced down at the blade still in his chest. "You knew I could survive that, right?"

Weiss didn't answer.

"You knew I could survive that, right, Weiss?"

She pulled the rapier free, making him flinch, and turned toward the door. "Come on. The registration process is simple."

"Weiss, come back here," he demanded, following. "At least apologize for stabbing me in the heart!"

She stopped by the door and waited for him to catch up.

"I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't sure," she said, already turning toward the front desk.

Jaune let out a long breath and scrubbed a hand over his face.

"You Hunters are all insane."

Weiss didn't slow down.

"Welcome to Vale's Hunters Guild, Jaune Arc."

Yang

Okay, let's begin our story. After Ozpin's failed attack on Salem, a wounded and paranoid Raven went to Tai's house in the dead of night and "gained Yang's guardianship," taking her to the tribe and training her over the years. However, Tai managed to find the camp with Qrow's help. And after a series of struggles, Yang discovers the whole truth and goes home with her father, where she meets Ruby, who was still a small child. Well, this is after the events of Absolute Ruby, created by @howlingday Yang would listen to what happened to Ruby and go to Beacon and stay with her sister to protect her and become stronger.

Personality

Yang, as she knows her, has a personality similar to the canon version, but to strangers she is colder and even frightening. This is because she was raised and trained by a tribe of bandits; her fighting style is much more brutal and lethal than in the canon. In short, she's just a big dog; she looks scary, but when you get to know her, she's a kind person.

Pyrrha

Pyrrha Nikos is one of the strongest hunters in the world, with a long history of victories against both Grimm and humans. However, people don't see her as a person, but rather as a living weapon. People don't care about her condition, only whether she completes the mission. The other hunters sent on missions with her are afraid of her because of the stories told about her: "She is a Grimm in a human body." She would be sent to Beacon beacause Ozpin would spend a huge amount of money to have her join his academy to help protect him, but also to keep an eye on a certain urban knight..

Personality

Pyrrha was a cold person. She never had true friends or people who gave her real support. People were always afraid of her because of her appearance. And as she grew older, things only got worse. She became stronger, but so did people's fear. In adulthood, she no longer cared what people thought; the only thing on her mind was completing the task she was contracted to do.

What if... ABST RWBY SHOW

Well, I had this idea the other day and wanted to put it into practice. This post is to simulate what it would be like if Absolute RWBY were a real animation.

ABST RWBY Volume 1

Episodes:1-12 of 20-30mins and some Ep would have Post-Credits.

I'll try to give a quick but simple and understandable summary of what each episode would be like because I'm not an amazing writer who can write a script for every episode, so I hope you all understand and enjoy the idea.

Ep 1: ''Ruby Rose''

It would be almost a copy-paste of the story of @howlingday Absolute ruby history, The only things I would add are some Easter eggs about Pyrrha and Jaune.

Post-credits: Ruby receives a message from Yang saying that she's going to Beacon too.

Ep2: ''New faces, New challenges.''

This episode would be a fusion of First Step and Shining Beacon, only changing a few factors: Yang wouldn't be separated from her sister, and instead of Jaune, they would meet Weiss for the first time. Also, instead of being thrown into a forest full of Grimm, they would be tested by going to the vale and dealing with reports made by the civilians.

Post-credits: During one of Weiss's patrols, She encountered a group of troublemakers being apprehended by a figure resembling a knight, who would notice Weiss and disappear from the scene.

Ep3: ''Friend and Foes''

Ozpin would review the students' mission results and form the teams based on their grades, thus creating Team RWBY. Blake would be introduced in this episode, forming a friendship with the team and a healthy rivalry with Weiss (Ohh, a rich people's fight!). They would be sent on a mission that seemed easy, but in reality, it was a trap set by someone who was part of one of Roman's gangs. However, the trap went wrong, and that division was easily defeated by Team RWBY.

Ep4: ''Shining Armor''

Weiss would tell her friends about the "knight" she saw during one of their missions. Her friends would look confused at Weiss for mentioning a "knight," but they would let it go, which would leave Weiss slightly annoyed. Team RWBY would be sent to investigate an area suspected of being involved with the Roman gang. When they arrived, a gang member activated a machine that deactivated the dust on weapons except for the gang member's, making the fight unfair. Ozpin, who was watching the fight on a security camera, would send Pyrrha to help Team RWBY, who were having difficulty. He would return to watch the fight and see a knight helping Team RWBY. When Pyrrha arrived, she would see the knight with Team RWBY and think he was an enemy, and then the two would start fighting. Team RWBY would try to inform them that the knight was helping them, but she would ignore them. Weiss saw the generator and how the machine that deactivates the dust was destroyed she would use electrical dust to fry the generator and cause a blackout, giving the knight a chance to escape the fight against Pyrrha.

Post-credits: Pyrrha was in her bedroom thinking about the fight she was having with that mysterious knight, and she felt something inside her, something she hadn't felt in years.

Absolute jaune.

I already say one, but I am throwing my own idea. This deals with jaunes family.

Originally, the arc family hails from (the bad lands/the dark continent/ grimm lands). The ancestral home of the arcs. Reason being the are long dependents from salem. They are you a part of the family. The arc family had traits of grimm. Small stuff like hair, claws, maybe eye color, stuff that's small and can easily be hidden. Hair dye, cutting ones nails a lot, and other methods.

However when salem learned ta

Hat she has family, she sent grimm to bring them back. Some arc members were taken, and some were killed. Others went into hiding. Salem sent terrain and hazel after jaune, specifically the reason being he has the most power out of all of them.

My idea is that jaune is this versions bane. He can call appon the grimm cells within his body growing bigger, claws, and more like a grimm. The family was broken and jaune wanders the earth training to be stronger better the good news he is not alone he has made a new friend.

A run away robot by the name of Penny. He found her damaged and alone. He took her in and helped her the best he could. Penny is the brains jaune is the brawn. Jaune is protective of penny because she is the only family and friend he has got left. Not a lot of people want to be friends with the half grimm monster. And because Atlis is looking for penny as well.

You know, it's interesting. This is one of the few asks I've gotten about Absolute that touch on larger worldbuilding stuff like Salem and Atlas. The other one being Red Like Cinders.

Also, Penny is here. That's neat.

I think this one deserves a more horror/gothic approach than the firm dystopian tone I've been leaning on so far.

Weiss was not having a good day. It all started with the wrong foot, to be quite honest.

Normally, Weiss would deal with murderers, kidnapers and slavers. The usual stuff guards didn't want to deal with, so they handed them to Hunters guild as bounties. And she had made herself a name as the best 'Bounty Huntress' on Vale.

But the bounty from that morning was all red flags and zero motivations. A string of murders in lower Vale, between the industrial docks and the warehouses. That was the first red flag.

The main thing about the murder was the brutality. In all cases, the cause of death was a heavy impact and organ collapse. Which indicated either a Semblance user or some heavy weaponry, with the former being the more plausible. Second red flag.

Thirdly, Weiss wasn't aware until after taking the bounty.

As she began investigating, the Vale Guard shared with her that all victims were 'Atlas tourists'. But one glance at the photos was all Weiss needed to know that was not the truth. All mid to late 20's, short hair, clean shaved, in good shape (besides the aforementioned high impacts).

These weren't tourists. These were Atlas operatives, and red flag number three.

But by the time she noticed, she was already in the middle of the investigation, and the Guild Director would raise hell if Weiss dropped it without a good reason. Despite the red flags spelling out trouble, these were exactly the kind of cases that were reserved for Huntresses like herself.

Plus, the pay was close enough to worth it.

Weiss was walking around the docks district, when the sounds she was waiting for came in. Shots from the Atlas standard sword-riffle, followed by what in between high caliber discharges and grenade detonations. Then one larger sound, followed by dreadful silence.

She turned around the corner, at the entrance of an dead end alley, just in time to catch yet another Atlas operative already lying on the floor. It looked crushed, surrounded by several cracks in the pavement and walls, indicating the use of a tremendous force.

Same as the others.

Next to the corpse, there was man standing over it.

He looked about Weiss' age, maybe a bit older. Blonde hair, thin complexion. He had an old sword strapped to his belt, with no ranged modifications. That ruled out the ballistics, meaning he was had to be a Semblance user if he committed those murders.

Weiss advanced with deliberate steps, already holding Myrtenaster on her left hand, while her right one hoovered over her pistol holster. The man turned at the sound of her steps, letting her see his worn eyes carrying the weight of someone who hadn't slept in days.

"Good evening," she greeted him with a small nod, but holding her guard up.

"Hey," he didn't react much. Instead, he spoke, voice rough from exhaustion. "Just to be clear, I was only defending myself here."

"Seven people in just as many days?" Weis asked, keeping her distance. "Then you must be extremely unlucky, if it keeps happening."

He just sighed.

"Look, miss..." he gestured at her.

"Schnee," she replied. "Weiss Schnee. Registered Huntress." She raised her right palm to show her brand on it.

"Jaune Arc," he said. "Huntsman too." He lazily showed the back of his right hand. "Look, Weiss, I promise I haven't killed anyone who wasn't trying to kill me first."

"If that's true," she didn't bother to hide her skepticism. "You can make your case in court." She raised Myrtenaster, leveling the tip toward him.

For a moment, he seemed to weigh her words. Then, Weiss was barely parrying a strike from his sword. She never even saw him unsheathing it or jumping at her for what matter. Only years of training saved her life out of reflex alone.

They moved around the alley, her boots scraping against the grit as she caught her balance while he just kept ramming at her. She met his blows with precision, every parry sparking against his blade, the air filled with the echo of steel and breath.

Each swing of his sword came down like a hammer, driving Weiss back step by step. The sheer force of his strikes had nearly torn Myrtenaster from her grasp. Whoever Jaune Arc was, he wasn't just strong, but also inhumanly fast.

Until he missed his footing by a centimeter, and that was all Weiss really needed.

A black glyph came to life, immediately trapping Jaune in the gravity of Weiss' Semblance. His boots sank into the shimmering light beneath him, dragged down by his own augmented weight

"You rely on brute strength," Weiss exhaled, steadying herself. "I trained my Semblance to perfection, while you just abuse yours like a hammer."

"Semblance?" Jaune asked, struggling to look up at meet Weiss' gaze. "I don't even have a semblance."

He dropped his sword and shield.

"I have something so much worse."

The air around them.

Weiss could feel his pulse spiking, like some invisible war drums. Black veins crept up his neck as his eyes lightened up crimson for an instant. The gravity Glyph shattered under a sudden burst of pressure as he violently got on his feet again.

Her eyes widened when she saw his aura twist and rupture. White and gold bleeding into red and black, with each movement trailing faint wisps of shadow. Jaune's skin turned pitch black, as white bone plates grew from his body and covered it like some sort of twisted armor. His hands warped into claws, and fangs gleamed behind his lips.

Then he moved.

The force of his first step cracked the ground. He lunged, faster than before. Weiss gritted her teeth, focusing. Her training kicked in, turning panic into motion. Every blow he threw carried raw, monstrous strength. Her calculated technique overwhelmed by his raw strength.

It felt like trying to redirect an avalanche.

Glyphs flared across the walls and floor, surrounding him in a tight pattern. The alley filled with overlapping light, Weiss poured her Aura into firing-off every type of Dust at her disposal, meeting Jaune's monstrous power by pushing her own to its absolute limit.

When the dust settled, Jaune had a barrel pressed on his head.

"Human or Grimm," Weiss panted while holding her pistol. "These are reinforced Dust rounds." She pulled the hammer back, making it click so Jaune would understand she would shoot.

"Stop!" A girl's voice called from the entrance of the alley.

They both turned at her as she ran for it, jumping the last stretch and holding Jaune's monstrous form in a hug.

"Please don't hurt him!" The girl pleaded, burying her face on Jaune's shoulder.

He looked up at Weiss, pistol still on his forehead while he held the girl in his arms. Without a word, the Grimm features on Jaune's body turned to black smoke, dissipating and leaving him looking like a normal human again.

Understanding the message, Weiss holstered her pistol too, sighing in annoyance.

"Explain," she demanded.

Weiss still didn't know what to think of this whole situation. That's how much she concluded while looking down at the noodles in front of her. Steam rose from the bowl in front of her, curling in the cool night air, and carrying the scent of spices, mushrooms and seafood.

Across from her, Jaune 'Grimm' Arc was busy stirring another pot like he hadn't just turned into a walking nightmare less than ten minutes ago. The only hint left of that monstrous transformation was the exhaustion in his eyes, which he tried to hide as he served a bowl to the girl.

Penny. Her name was Penny, and her story made Weiss' blood run cold.

She looked like a teen, fifteen if Weiss had to guess, polite to a fault, and far too talkative for Weiss' taste. She reminded her of her partner back at the Guild in that way. Only difference was that Penny looked so fragile while telling who she was.

What she was.

Atlas had made her. Not raised her, not trained her, but made her. A 'Living Assault Weapon', as she put it. Penny explained it like a kid repeating something they were forced to memorize.

When Weiss had asked what it meant, Penny hesitated, then removed her glove and pulled her sleeve up to the elbow. Much like Arc's grim metamorphosis, it called to question everything Weiss knew about the world so far.

Under the cloth, there wasn't skin and flesh, but metal and wiring, shaped perfectly to mimic the real thing. The plating shimmered faintly, intricate joints shifting as Penny flexed her fingers. The illusion of life ended halfway up the forearm, where a patch of armor had been scorched and dented by what looked like a bullet impact.

Standard Atlesian caliber, by Weiss' estimation, which only made her frown harder.

"They said I was going to be a hero," Penny said between hiccups. "But all they wanted me to do was to hurt people."

Weiss didn't respond. She couldn't.

"I couldn't." Penny's mechanical fingers gently closed over her chopsticks, the servos humming softly. "When I refused, they wanted to disassemble me and start over."

Jaune's ladle scraped against the bottom of the pot, loud.

Weiss had the picture already.

"So, you escaped Atlas," she began summarizing. "Made it to Vale because Argus is a colony and Vacuo is too far, and when the first agent caught up to you, Arc found you and got involved."

"I couldn't not do it," Jaune grunted as he left the pot by itself for a moment, sitting with Weiss and Penny at the counter. "She's just a kid, Weiss."

Weiss looked back at Penny, and despite the arm, she couldn't help but agree with him.

"Atlas won't stop looking for her," she concluded.

"I know," Jaune nodded slowly, his expression hard to read beneath the exhaustion.

"And if they involved the Hunters guild, they stopped caring about subtlety," she added.

"I know," he groaned.

"Am I...?" Penny hesitated to even ask the question.

"No." Both Weiss and Jaune said at the same time, though on different tones. Jaune's was a harsh refusal to let Penny be taken away. But Weiss' was just a stating of the matter.

"The Atlas agents were killed criminal syndicate known as the Spiders." She made a pause, taking out a pocket watch. "Whom I fought seventeen minutes ago at the airships dock, ten kilometers north-east from here." Weiss waited for a moment, as if calculating the imaginary fight in her head. "In three minutes from now, I saw a girl matching your description as they escaped in a private bullhead." She closed her pocket watch with a snap.

Jaune and Penny looked dumbfounded.

"Why?" Jaune asked.

"I'm not a law officer, Arc, I'm a Huntress." Weiss stood up from her chair. "I deal with stuff and get paid for it. My story, well told, will accomplish both things."

She exhaled, adjusting her jacket. But before she could take another step, Penny jumped from her seat and hugged her mid section.

"Thank you miss Weiss!" The girl beamed.

"And Penny is just a girl," she added softly, just for Jaune to hear.

"But won't they still find us?" Jaune looked skeptical, walking around the counter to better talk to Weiss out of Penny's earshot. "I left quite a trail of bodies."

"No, the Spiders did that." Weiss corrected him. "So far, I'm the only witness of their brutality against those poor Atlas tourists."

Jaune rubbed the back of his neck. Weiss could notice how the coldness of her voice when lying was unnerving him.

"However," she continued, pulling Penny off from her waist. "You are known by Atlas." The smile in the girl's face died down, so Weiss lowered herself to be at eye level with her. "Blacken your hair, and wear glasses. Understood?"

Penny hesitated, glancing down at her damaged arm. "But what about my arm?"

"I've been trying to fix it myself," Jaune said awkwardly. "But I'm a swordsman, not a watchmaker."

"You can come to the Hunters guild for that." Weiss replied, straightening herself up. "My partner happens to be a mechanical genius, and just seeing Penny's arm will lighten her mood for weeks."

Jaune stared at her for a moment before chuckling. "And there I thought I'd have to kill such a beautiful lady."

"Please, Arc," she smirked, though looking aside to hide the blush from being called 'beautiful'. "I had my gun to your forehead."

"I've survived worse." He shrugged. Weiss could tell he believes it too from the way he says it.

"Then come to the guild too." Weiss cracked her neck lazily. She night's events finally weighting on her. "I'm in need of a sparring partner who doesn't tap out when I shoot at them."

With that as a goodbye, she then stepped into the night, leaving the little girl and her guardian Grimm behind.

What if... ABST RWBY SHOW Part 2

Ep 5: ''the past always comes back to bite you''

This episode focuses more on Yang. She overhears Ruby talking to the new students arriving at Beacon, so she checks to see who they are and notices it's Ren and Nora (members of Raven's tribe and, in quotes, Yang's half-siblings). Yang notices them and becomes defensive of her sister. Ruby doesn't understand at first and finds her sister's interaction and mood swings strange. The episode continues like the others with Team RWBY, solving calls and fighting crime, but Ruby notices her sister being more violent. Then, at the end of the episode, when only Ruby and Yang are in the dorm, Ruby asks what's happening with Yang, and she tells her story and her relationship with Nora and Ren. Ruby listens and understands why Yang is so worried and says she'll be there for Yang no matter what, thus improving the sisters' relationship even more.

Post-credits: The scene would show an outside view of Yang and Ruby's dorm, with Ren on the roof listening to their conversation. He would then return to the dorm he shares with Nora and Pyrrha (who wouldn't be in the dorm). Nora would be asleep, and Ren would begin writing a dorm entry for Raven. However, after hearing everything Yang had to say about his experience in the Raven tribe, he would stop writing and become thoughtful.

Ep6: ''Players and Pieces''

Time RWBY would be called for a private conversation with Ozpin. Ozpin would comment that, as Time RWBY ended Roman's gang's operations, they were interrogated and gave information to the Vale police, which reached Ozpin. He would then inform them of a shipment of dust and technology arriving at the city's port. Time RWBY would agree to carry out the mission. Time RWBY would arrive at the port stealthily and see Roman's gang guarding a large container. However, they would notice a female figure sitting on top of the container who seemed to be giving orders to the gang members. Time RWBY would split up, with Yang and Weiss going on the offensive as a distraction, while Ruby and Blake would eliminate some gang members stealthily. In the end, only Neo and Team RWBY would remain, all pointing their weapons at her. Neo would simply give a smug smile and break the padlock on the container, releasing an Alpha Beowulf. The Grimm would charge at RWBY, and Neo would disappear. The fight would continue, with Weiss finishing off the Grimm, and everyone would return to Beacon exhausted and almost without aura.

Ep 7: ''Magic and Science'' 

Well, this episode would be more of a fusion of the two episodes that introduce Penny on the show. The only difference, however, is that I'll add a new subplot: Weiss would be in Vale and she would see a blond boy helping some people, so she would approach the boy and help him too. After the service, she would ask his name and he would say that his name is Jaune Arc. The two plots would merge at the end of the episode with Jaune and Weiss seeing Penny and Ruby disrupting yet another of Roman's operations.

Post-credits: Jaune would give his number to Weiss and return to his residence, and the camera would show the entire room displaying a weapon and armor placed on the bed, revealing that he was the knight.

Absolute RWBY Part I

Okay, it's been a while, but here's a new AU concept; Absolute RWBY.

It follows the same logic as Absolute DC, with the characters stripped of their iconic elements but not of their identity.

Hunters aren't respected but seen as a necessary evil to combat Grimm. People with semblances are forced to become Hunters and branded as such. Seen a little better than social pariahs, feared by most and isolated to their guilds.

Also, like in canon, Hunters have an Emblem related to them. Sometimes it's a familiar thing, other times from where they come from or who they work for, or simply just something they feel like it represents them.

However, the difference is that it's a way to quickly identify a Hunter to prevent them from hiding themselves. A tattoo on the back of the right hand with their Emblem of choice or assigned if they're turned to Hunters as to commute criminal charges.

Except Ruby, who actively wanted her Semblance, and went to get her 'ink' with a smile on her face.
