Torture isn't personal though, is it? You're hurting me, sure, leaving wounds that may scar, sure, but it's about you, not me. It's about trying to exert control, or force submission/compliance physically, that's fine.

You know what's personal? Attacking someone's identity, like... especially because the Whumpee in question is Trans, and he says in it that his appearance is the greatest manifestation of the self (or something to that effect), so it really like... it was more than a gut punch, it was actually, like I was on the verge of tears, like it- can you imagine? Do you understand how long it takes to grow out hair? How personal it is?

And I commented on the fic (This is Hasan and Declan by @b0amagination for anyone intrigued, part 8 I think? I think it is called inalienable rights, don't think I reblogged cause I was traumatised) and the author said that the Whumper knows that they can only cut them once, they can scar them sure, but like only once in the same spot, but hair grows back, over and over, and Whumper will keep cutting Whumpee's hair back, over and over, cutting it into what Whumper likes/wants, not what Whumpee wants/likes/prefers.

Do you... like, does that, am I weird that this makes me catch in the chest? I can handle torture, I can handle pain, I can handle whatever you throw at me, but if you cut my hair into a hairstyle YOU want, not me, then - It just... ugh, it makes my skin writhe, like my veins twist and tie themselves in knots, I can't and... ugh, no, nope, don't touch my hair - and it is such a good way to attack someone's defiance, someone's autonomy and agency and identity and fucking hell, the Whumper really is a fucked up creep and I despise them, but I need to read, even just thinking about it gives me whumperflies, but I swear I'm like whumping myself reading it (well, binge-reading hopefully I don't need a break today ahahahahhaha)

I got an ad today for a safety organization and in the ad two train conductors warned kids to stay away from train tracks, and my first thought was “Huh, sounds like something the train twins would film” because they have hijacked my brain to associate anything train related with them lol. Like, either for an organization or sponsored by the subway itself, I can imagine Ingo and Emmet filming an ad where they talk about their jobs and then warn children to be careful around train tracks.

I bet they have absolutely done that!! There's probably a lot of safety vids they've made lol
