do you have any tips for people stressing over revision techniques? *Cough* me *cough*

i’ve never actually finished/posted any Actual writings of mine (just my shitty posts ksbsjsks) so maybe i’m not the best person to ask, but at some point you just gotta be like “this is good enough” and post it. or else you’ll spend an ETERNITY revising it because you’ll always find something you could to fix

ALSO. if you write something while drunk, ALWAYS go back and double (or triple) check it

some people like to act like writing smut is somehow less legit than writing elaborate plots and whatnot. but let ME tell you. whenever i write a chapter with smut in it, it’s a lot harder than writing a sfw one. writing smut isn’t actually as easy as it may look like. there’s so much to consider! you want to be detailed enough for the reader to be able to get a clear vision of what’s happening, but then sometimes you think you’re overdoing it with details ...cos how many times do you want to remind the reader where xx’s person’s hand is on xx’s other person’s body right now? how many synonyms are there for someone to “moan”, for hips to “thrust” and for a person to feel “pleasure”, so you don’t keep using the same vocab too much. what big of a wordcount of purely smut is too big but you don’t want to put it too short either, but you have long lost overview of what’s too long or what's too short, cos how long does a sexual act take?? it’s tough man.

hey! this is not to rush you or anything but are you planning on writing anymore? it’s just that you used to a lot a while ago and now it’s kinda like you haven’t in forever :( again! not to rush you or anything. if you just don’t want to write anymore totally understand. just wondering :)

You're totally fine hun, I know that I've stopped writing pretty much completely and I apologize for that. I just can't seem to get the words flowing lately and I hate posting work that I'm not 101% satisfied with, so I've been taking a helluva break from writing to focus on school and now my internship. I can't say for sure when inspiration strikes and I'll pick up writing again, but I'll really appreciate all your understanding in the meantime, even though I dont deserve it :'/
