Reminder to Albertans: Go vote for your Mayors, Schoolboard Trustee’s, and City Councillors tomorrow!!
The federal census says that there were over 1.5 million households in 2016. Assuming it’s still the same number (and it’s probably higher now), that’s only 37 bucks per person.
Hey, Albertans. What are you planning to do with your family’s 37 bucks?
I’m probably going to buy 6 tubs of vanilla ice cream.

More relief is on the way for Albertans and Alberta employers.
My email to the SCS Review Committee
The Alberta government established a Supervised Consumption Services Review Committee to evaluate the social and economic impacts of current and proposed supervised consumption sites.
This committee is touring the province, and receiving in-person feedback from public engagement sessions. They held two in Lethbridge, and although I attended one, I didn’t speak at the mic. They offer online submissions, as well as email submissions via [email protected].
Here’s the email I submitted:

To quickly recap the last couple weeks in Alberta: • City of Edmonton unanimously passes an energy transition plan, which will see Edmonton move away from fossil fuels to renewables. • Albertans ended the 44-year PC dynasty by electing 53 NDP MLA’s to the Legislature giving Rachel Notley & the NDP a governing MAJORITY! • Albertans elected the MOST women [...] to government in Canadian history! • Albertans elected Alberta’s FIRST three openly LGBTQ MLA’s in the provinces history. • Alberta elected the youngest legislature in the country. • And yesterday Omar Khadr walked free. Not bad Alberta!!

the sky is orange, the grass is green, and it's a beautiful morning here in alberta
Wow. I'm actually shocked. I was expecting to have a minority PC government in Alberta... But the polls turn up a majority NDP and Wildrose as the official opposition?! I'm impressed. I never thought I would see the day my province would switch governments. But apparently when they want a change, they change hard!
