Abydosaurus was a brachiosaurid that was found in the Mussentuchit Mmber of the Cedar Mountain Formation, near Dinosaur National Monument, Utah. It lived about 104.5 million years ago, in the Albian age of the Early Cretaceous. This makes Abydosaurus unique in on of the few brachiosaurids known from North America in the early Cretaceous. It also is unique in being known from a skull, a rare event for sauropods. It had a very similar skull to Giraffatitan, even though the two were separated by about 45 million years. It was probably about 29 meters long.
