All of my students have to take Chem 1A, and this year I finally remembered to get some chemistry leggings before Orientation started. I love them with this shirt! Also that berkelium and lawrencium--some of the elements discovered at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab--are right there on the front.

I had an academic adviser meeting and none of the classes she recommended I take for next semester are open or work with my work schedule.
Even on her plan I’m not even going to get into my major until 2019 and I cant even do that
lol I’m not going to graduate until 2025 I thought i was being smart
I cant afford this shit especially if our orangutan of a president fucks up the economy before I graduate fuck :’)

Cadets! Reregister for JROTC and Leadership classes if they are available to you for the 2017-2018 school year!
Do not forget or be swayed by a counselor telling you about credits you must clear to graduate; there are many ways to complete your credits towards timely graduation while still being part of your school's unit. Don’t lose time in being forced out of your JROTC program if you love what you do and want to continue your #jrotcjourney.

Academic advisors are under appreciated.
It’s not a flashy job. But it’s important. University is some bullshit to navigate, to plan and find resources.
Students deserve more help than teachers alone can give or administrations are willing to.
I had a student cry for the first time during an appointment…. I don’t think I handled it as best I could. I was startled. But I tried to comfort and help them. And they did leave with an academic plan, and feeling a little better.
So… I did good.
I just… hope they’re okay… sounds like a lot of pressure from family.
