Using Sony's Access Controller on the PC
Since no one is talking about it, I decided to hook up the Access controller to my pc.
Here is what I've figured out.
It is really picky about the usb c cable you use and the usb port you plug it into. You need a usb c cable that does both data and charging at usb 3.2 standards. My computer only sees the access controller when plugged into a usb 3.2 port. I don't think that the ps5 has that limit so I'm not certain why I can only get it to talk to the pc with that.
When I do get it to work, the following functions:
The left stick (x/y axis)
The X button (2)
The create button (10)
The L3 button (11)
The circle button (3)
And that's it. Any remapper, like on steam, can see them and remap them. but the other 6 buttons aren't seen by the pc. At least as far as I've been able to get to show. I think some smart driver developer might be required to get this fully functioning. Though I wonder if it might not be functioning as two controllers somehow and maybe the other buttons can be accessing that way.
