MC comes out to Barbatos as ace and is a panicky mess, thinking that he could think less of them, or would be disappointed. He just sighs and bakes them a cake - as a joke, yes, but also to show that he cares because it’s a part of them and wants to support them.
Short answer: They’ll all be fine with it! Consent is everything. People everywhere are in relationships with ace people and it works! Some of them would have to adapt, but none of them would see it as a deal-breaker.
Archer: They might be a bit confused about what to do at first, because so much of their love goes through their physical touch, and their physical touch leads to some...side effects. But once the two of you talk and share your feelings on it, they’ll be fine!
Mishra: An ace!MC would be actually eye opening for them, especially at the beginning of the romance. They justify their attraction by saying they just want to sleep with you, and that’s it. So if it’s not going to happen, why do they still want to see you so bad? It will really put things in perspective faster.
Botha: They’d be fine with it without too much thoughts, once Botha loves you, they’ll accept everything about you anyway, they’d just want to be with you.
Nezha: Nezha would struggle at first, because they’re a touch-deprived horndog. You’d definitely have to talk about how they can meet their needs.
Smith: I think how they react would depend on how much they’ve fallen for ace!MC. At the beginning, they’d scoff and say that they never wanted to be with you anyway (it’s a lie). Later on, they’ll be like Botha and say they just want you.

Summary - You head to Levi’s room to check on him after not hearing from him all day, only to find him crying alone. After talking with him, you both learn something special about one another.
AO3
You were standing outside of Levi’s door debating whether or not to knock. Usually he was the one calling and texting you, inviting you to join him to play games, or watch anime, or just to hang out together in his room. But today, he had been quiet. Something that hadn’t happened since your early days in the Devildom.
To make matters worse, he was leaving all your messages on read, so you weren’t sure if he was mad at you or just too busy to respond. And you couldn’t think of anything that he had been looking forward to recently that would leave him so occupied. While you were contemplating your options, you pressed your ear to his door to see if you could hear any sounds from inside that might give you a clue as to what he was doing. That’s when you heard the unmistakable sounds of your favorite otaku sniffling and choking back sobs.
“Levi?”, you called out to him, opening his door without waiting for a response.
“Hmm?! Yeah?!” Levi startled, roughly scrubbing at his face to rid himself of his tears and trying to make himself look at least a bit like he hadn’t spent the better part of the day sitting in his room feeling sorry for himself.
“Hey, Levi, what’s wrong?” you asked him gently, as you sat down next to him by his aquarium, facing the opposite direction so you could see him better. He had his knees drawn up to his chest, and by now had given up trying to dry his tears and instead just hid his face in his arms.
When Levi didn’t respond, you simply wrapped your arms around his head and shoulders and held him, running your fingers through his hair. He stiffened for a moment, unsure if he really wanted you so close right now, but soon he had released his hold on his own legs, opting instead to wrap his arms around your middle, practically pulling himself into your lap in the process. And as soon as his face was hidden in the fabric of your shirt, he started crying once more.
All you could do for Levi was hold him, gently rubbing his back and combing his hair with your other hand. You had never seen him so upset before. Is this why he was hiding in his room all day?
“It’s ok Levi, it’s ok.”
But it was definitely not ok. At least not from Levi’s perspective. This had officially been the worst day ever, and there was exactly zero possibility of it getting better. He had stayed up late the night before, crafting the most eloquent love letter he had ever written (well, the only love letter he had ever written), determined to give it to you today to tell you how he felt. And just as he was about to slip it under your door, he stopped dead in his tracks, watching as you smiled and laughed with his brothers on your way to breakfast.
Oh. That’s right. How had he forgotten?
Levi wasn’t stupid, he could tell how smitten his brothers were with you. It was obvious to anyone with eyes, and especially obvious to him who had known them for so long. They had all changed in subtle ways, becoming kinder, softer, more loving, since you had come along. And he had changed too. He knew that. He wrote a love letter for goodness sake. He never would have imagined he would be doing that for anyone that wasn’t 2D.
Still, there was one striking difference between himself and his brothers that he knew from all his anime and manga and dating sims was an essential part of any healthy relationship, and it wasn’t something he could give you. At least, not how he knew it was supposed to be. He loved you more than anything, he had no doubt in his mind about that. He even thought sometimes that you loved him too, with the way you would smile at him or gently hold his hand when he got anxious. But that didn’t make any difference did it? Love alone wouldn’t change things.
That didn’t stop him from clinging to you though, sobbing into your shirt and wishing you could just know how he felt and that he didn’t have to put it into words or explain. Hoping that maybe, just maybe, you felt the same, even though he knew that was impossible. But he could still dream couldn’t he? Dreams were all he had left now.
After a while, Levi’s breathing started to calm and he was able to focus on the sound of your heartbeat. He loved that sound. More times than he’d care to admit, he had gotten distracted just listening to it while you cuddled with him and watched a show together. Sometimes even falling asleep. You had never said anything to him about it before, but the way you held him to you now made him think that perhaps you knew and wanted to make sure he could hear it.
“Sorry,” he mumbled, trying to sit up, but you didn’t let him go and he didn’t fight you. He only snuggled closer to you, which made you smile as you hugged him tight.
“It’s ok, Levi. You don’t need to apologize,” you felt him nod against your chest, and you pressed a kiss to the top of his head.
“I was worried about you today. I tried calling you and texting you all day at RAD,” you paused before continuing, “Can you tell me what happened?”
He didn’t answer right away, and you felt his arms tighten around you.
“It’s ok, take your time. I just want to help,” you soothed, continuing to rub his back as you held him, patiently waiting for him to open up.
“...do you like any of my brothers?”
“Uh, huh? I mean, they're all important to me, if that’s what you’re asking. But where’s this coming from?”
“No, I mean like like them. You know,” he mumbled into your chest.
“Like do I have a crush on them?”
“...yeah,” he replied, meekly.
“Well, no, I can’t say I do. But seriously, where is this coming from?”
Levi didn’t want to answer. He was bad at this stuff. It’s why he wrote the letter in the first place. His thoughts and feelings would just get so jumbled up whenever he tried to talk about these things out loud. He tightened his fist around the letter that he was still holding, crumpled up in his hand. Maybe if he could just give it to you, you would understand?
This time when he tried to sit up and pull away from you, you let him, studying his face closely as he did his best to hide behind his bangs. When you noticed the wad of paper he was holding out to you, you took it from him and carefully unfolded it.
“What’s this?” you asked, and when he still didn’t answer, you started to read.
Dear Henry,
I bet this is weird, getting a letter from me right? I hope you don’t mind. I thought about talking to you, but every time I tried I forgot what to say so I thought writing would be easier.
I’m really glad that you were chosen for the exchange program, and that I got to know you. I’ve never had a best friend before. And you’re the best friend I could ever imagine. I know I’m just...well, me...but I hope I’m able to be at least half as good of a friend to you.
I love you.
xoxo,
Lord of Shadow
aka
Leviathan
You had to read over the letter a couple times just to make sure it was real and you weren’t imagining the whole thing. Levi loved you? But why was he so upset? And what was with all the weird questions about his brothers? As much as you wanted to leap for joy after finally receiving his confession, you were also deeply confused.
“Levi, I’m not sure I understand,” you asked, raising your head to look at him again. Levi was curled up on himself once more, hugging his knees tightly to his chest and keeping his face from view.
“What is there to understand? It’s exactly what it looks like.”
“Then why are you so sad?” you scooted closer to him so that your legs were touching again, and tenderly stroked his head, “Did you think I’d reject you?”
“That’s what you’re going to do isn’t it?” he said, sniffling and pulling his legs even closer.
“No, Levi. Of course not. I love you too.”
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Why would you think that?” your arms were now wrapped around his shoulders again, your cheek resting on top of his head. You had to admit that it stung hearing him reject your own confession, but it only strengthened your resolve to get answers.
“I’m not like my brothers.”
“I know, that’s why I’m here with you and not them.”
“I wouldn’t be a good boyfriend.”
“I’d like to be the judge of that.”
“But it’s true. I can’t...you know...do the thing.”
“The thing?”
“Yeah the thing.”
“I don’t know what that is, Levi.”
“THE thing. The thing only couples do,” he was getting a bit frustrated now. Were you really going to make him say it?
“Levi...do you mean sex?” you raised your head to try to catch a glimpse of Levi’s face, but all you could see were the tips of his (very red) ears as he turned his head more to the side and buried it further in his arms.
“...yeah.”
“Hey, that’s ok. You don’t need to,” you said, wrapping your arms back around him, hugging him tightly.
“Of course you need to. That’s what couples do,” Levi couldn’t conceal the waiver in his voice as his eyes started to well with tears once again.
“And where did you hear that?”
“I dunno. Everywhere. It’s how it is, isn’t it? You fall in love, you kiss, you...you know...and that’s how you know you’re a couple.”
“Levi,” you chuckled softly, “this isn’t a shojo manga or a dating sim. There are plenty of people in relationships that don’t have sex.” You pressed another kiss to the top of his head as you started to run your fingers through his hair like you had been earlier.
The truth was, this was the exact conversation you had been fearing and why you had avoided admitting to your own feelings for so long. You had been in relationships before, and some of them ended quite badly after you had explained your sexual preferences, or lack thereof you could say. The last thing you wanted was to have Levi reject you, but even more than that, you didn’t want him to think that there was something wrong with him that made you not want to have that sort of a relationship.
Learning that he felt the same way, and struggled with the same fears, was a huge relief to you, lifting a weight you hadn’t even been aware you had been carrying from your shoulders.
“There are plenty of ways to be intimate, to feel connected, that don’t involve sex. And I think we have a pretty good connection already, don’t you?”
You heard Levi sniffle, before he cautiously raised his head to look at you. He was surprised to see the understanding in your eyes, as well as the soft smile that spread across your lips. He hadn’t thought it possible to love you anymore than he already did, but here he was, heart threatening to beat out of his chest, while you looked at him like he was the most precious person in the entire world. When his tears started to fall again, you were quick to pull him back into a hug, and this time he wrapped his arms around you and buried his face into the crook of your neck.
“I love you, Levi. So much. So so so much,” you whispered to him, “Do you want to know a secret?”
Levi nodded against your neck, still too emotional to verbally respond.
“I feel the same way as you. I don’t want that sort of relationship either.”
He tightened his grip around you, soaking up all your words and reassurances. Did you really feel the same way as him? Is that why you understood him so well? Because you wanted the same things? Is that why he always felt so at ease around you? Because you never asked of him more than he was able to give?
“We can do things our own way, you know? That’s for us to decide. Doesn’t matter what anyone else does.”
“Really? I can just hug you and watch anime with you and stuff and you’ll be happy?”
“Yeah. I’ll be happy. I am happy. You’re my best friend, aren’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“Then that’s all I need. My best friend.”
The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a while, hugging and cuddling one another, the occasional giggle being exchanged as the smile started to return to Levi’s face.
“Hey, you think we could go cuddle in the bean bag? We could put on an anime or something if you want. My back is just getting kinda sore sitting on the floor like this,” you asked, straightening up and stretching out your neck. Levi was quick to agree and help you up off the floor, leading you by the hand to his oversized bean bag chair.
“Umm...do you think we could...just cuddle?” he gave your hand a small squeeze, blushing at having asked such a direct question.
“Yeah, we can do that,” you replied, taking a seat and tugging Levi down to join you, causing him to tumble into your lap.
“Ah! S-sorry…!” he scrambled to get off of you, but you only laughed and adjusted your legs so that he was seated between them, perpendicular to you.
“It’s ok, you can stay,” you said with a smile, gently holding him in place with your hand on his hip. Levi’s blush deepened, but he nodded in agreement, quickly wrapping his arms around your middle and resting his head on your shoulder, with his forehead pressed against your neck.
As you began to scratch his back, he relaxed more fully against you, enjoying your warmth and the tenderness of your touch. He could feel his worries melting away. He felt so safe with you. So understood. Accepted. It didn’t matter what weird quirk he revealed to you, intentionally or otherwise, you always embraced it, often revealing one of your own to help put him at ease. It was like the two of you were made for each other. Soulmates, if such a thing existed. And his heart had never before felt so full.
Ooo. So based on something you said in the Ace!MC question, is it common for plant spirits not to have much of sexual desire? Do our plant spirits in the cast have much of a desire themselves by default?
That’s right! It’s not uncommon for plant spirits, and actually some divine beasts as well, to not have a lot of sexual desire. It’d be a foreign concept to them, something not previously necessary, so many end up just not indulging.
Go Ro and Hiemi actually have pretty low sex drives when not in a relationship, and even in a relationship, Hiemi is somewhat indifferent to sex. This could also attribute to the fact that they’re both old and jaded, however.
An, on the other hand, is young desire incarnate. She’s got a high sex drive, but it’s more like, she hasn’t felt that kind of pleasure before so she can’t help but indulge.

Scene -
Your time in the Devildom had been an amazing experience for you. You found a family you didn’t even know you needed, you made friends with the unlikeliest beings possible - and you even found love.
Except, you hadn’t told him yet. You were worried if you did it would spoil things, and you couldn’t bear the thought of losing your closest friend. If only you had been more open about things when you first arrived, then maybe things wouldn’t be this complicated. But you knew that would have been impossible because you had no way of knowing then just how much your life would change during your stay here and how important the Brothers would become to you. And this wasn’t something you were comfortable going around announcing to everyone you met.
Well, hindsight is 20/20.
What you weren’t prepared for though was for your favorite demon to confess to you first...
Lucifer
Him confessing to you honestly came as a shock. You were pretty sure he didn’t like you for a long time, but you seem to have won him over, after breaking through his very thick shell.
And when you tell him you’re ace, he isn’t quite familiar with the term.
When you explain what it means (and how it applies to you), he’s very understanding.
So long as you understand that you’re still his, right? ;)
He’ll reassure you he loves you for who you are, regardless of what form your physical relationship might take.
Of course he’s not going to complain if you ever want to try something out, and will be very supportive of you if something makes you uncomfortable and/or you’re just not interested.
Lots of forehead kisses and hugs from him. He’ll do anything to protect you. You mean the world to him.
Mammon
You were almost expecting his confession, you just didn’t think he’d be the one to admit to anything first.
When you explain to him that you are ace, he’s very confused.
He just can’t wrap his head around this. He worries if it’s perhaps something wrong with *him* that makes you not want to have that sort of a physical relationship in the same way he does.
Begrudgingly, he’ll turn to Asmo for help. He loves you so much he’ll even put up with his brother mocking him just so he can understand you better. (Of course, Asmo doesn’t mock him for once because he cares about you too.)
After he learns there are other ways he can be intimate and close with you, he spends a lot of time trying to find out what you like and what he can/can’t do.
He always asks before doing anything, blushing and nervous, but the last thing he wants to do is make you uncomfortable.
Is very quick to understand that *intimacy* is what he craves the most, and that sex is only one way to express that.
So give him lots of cuddles and never, ever let go of his hand.
Leviathan
Completely blindsided by his confession. He wrote you a letter, which he was scared to give to you, but you eventually are able to convince him to.
And surprise surprise, he feels the same way as you.
He loves hugging and kissing you, but he’s not very interested in other things.
Maybe one day he’ll be willing to try some things just to see how it feels, but he’s perfectly content to snuggle up to you for the rest of his life.
He has a lot of insecurities to deal with too since he thought he was weird for feeling how he did.
Knowing you understand him, makes him feel so loved and safe. Even if he doesn’t talk about it much.
And I wrote a whole fic about this because I love him so much.
Satan
When he confessed to you, you were also rather surprised. He always seemed so reserved around you.
And when you tell him that you’re ace…
“Oh is that what it’s called? I could already tell you felt that way. I didn’t know it had a name.”
What you mistook for him not being interested was just him trying to be respectful of you and not put pressure on you.
Learning that will probably make you cry buckets of happy tears, because how can you not??
Once you explain to him that you still are ok with some things, he’s quick to adjust his behavior and give you the sort of physical affection you’re comfortable with.
He will absolutely murder anyone that makes you feel “less” for wanting different things. He usually does a good job managing his Wrath, but that’s a sure fire way of setting him off.
Asmodeus
Receiving his confession honestly made you uncomfortable at first. He’s the Avatar of Lust, and is constantly making jokes about wanting to do certain things with you (and everyone else for that matter).
You just knew if you told him how you felt that that would be the end of it, and he wouldn’t be interested in you anymore, even as a friend. After all, it’s happened before.
“Oh honey, I already know. I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable, but I love you as you are.”
In fact, that is probably one of the reasons he fell for you in the first place. Because he knows you love him for who he is as a person...err...demon. You spent time with him because you enjoyed his company, and that thought just makes him all kinds of warm and fuzzy.
And like with Satan, lots of crying on your part because that’s probably the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to you.
He does such a good job about respecting your boundaries, and if you’re uncomfortable with his jokes, he’ll avoid making them around you too.
He loves doing intimate but nonsexual activities with you like taking baths. He just wants to feel close to you.
He’s also completely willing to experiment with you if you ever want to try out different things, and he’s a wealth of information about ways to enjoy yourself regardless of your preferences.
Beelzebub
You knew it was only a matter of time before Beel confessed to you. And the thought scared you a little because you just loved him so much. You didn’t want to hurt him, and you were scared that’s what would happen.
He doesn’t know what asexuality is at first, but when you explain things to him, he’s quick to pick up on it.
He gives the best hugs in the world, and he makes sure you never doubt for a second just how happy he is to have you around and to be able to hug you.
He just wants to spend time with you and make you happy.
He’ll always ask you if you’re comfortable with something before doing anything, and is very understanding of your personal boundaries.
You’re his family now, and he’d do anything for you to protect you - physically or otherwise. And absolutely won’t tolerate people trying to make you feel bad for being yourself.
Belphegor
His confession came as a bit of a surprise to you as well.
You thought he just viewed you as a friend and snuggle buddy, so hearing it made you uncomfortable at first. Was he going to start expecting different things now?
When you explain to him your feelings, he doesn’t really care. But not in a bad way. In a “whatever floats your boat” sort of way.
He can still cuddle you right? And nap with you? Ok cool, he doesn’t care much about the other stuff. He’s fine with whatever you want to do (or don’t do).
Like Beel, you’ll never doubt for a moment that he loves you and is happy being close to you. He just likes feeling you nearby, and loves how warm you make him feel when you hug him.
He makes sure everyone knows that you’re his, and he gets rather possessive about your cuddles too. (And can you blame him? He loves your hugs.)

Summary - One day you suggest a polyamorous relationship with Levi to Mammon, and he loses his cool. Will Mammon be able to make things right? And will Levi ever get a chance to tell you how he feels?
[ AO3 | Part 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 ]
You and Mammon were practically inseparable.
From your first day in the Devildom it seemed, the two of you were always together. Of course, those first few weeks weren’t exactly while you were on the best of terms with each other. But soon your choice to spend time together came from a genuine interest in one another. And after awhile, you both had even fallen in love.
You just fit so well together. You shared a similar sense of humor, you enjoyed the same sorts of movies, you both even had a mutual love of spicy food. Physically, you felt the two of you were quite compatible as well. You loved how good he was at taking care of you, and nothing made him happier than having you shower him in affection and praise. And sure, his sex drive was definitely higher than yours, but you both were figuring things out and making it work.
Mammon wasn’t the only brother you were getting close to, however. While you enjoyed cooking with Beel and swapping book recommendations with Satan, your time with Levi in particular was special to you. He always had a way of helping you relax, and his desire to stay in the comfort of his room gave you an excellent place to unwind and decompress. Despite the fact he could barely contain himself when speaking about one of his special interests, he typically kept to himself when immersed in whatever activity had caught his attention in that moment, which made him excellent company when you needed peace and quiet.
For the longest time, you thought friendship was all you wanted from Leviathan. And Levi made it pretty clear on numerous occasions that he considered you his best friend and nothing more. Well, at least that’s what he said. In the past few weeks you had caught him staring at you more than once in a way that was reminiscent of the love struck look Mammon often got when he didn’t think you were looking either.
You had heard from Asmodeus pretty early on in your stay that monogamy wasn’t the usual practice for demons. He had made sure you were well acquainted with certain aspects of demon relationships, partly to gauge your interest, and partly to stop you from inadvertently making a move on a random demon at RAD. You and Mammon had never talked specifically about the idea of an open or polyamorous relationship, and you got the dinstinct impression that he would have trouble sharing, but the more you thought about Levi, the more you wanted to see if you could make it work with both of them.
One evening after dinner, you were relaxing in Mammon’s room, doing nothing in particular. He was reading some magazine about Devildom fashions (and where to buy them), and you were reclined with your head in his lap as you scrolled through Devilgram.
“Got somethin’ you wanna say?” Mammon finally asked with a light blush on his cheeks. Apparently you had been staring at him for the past few minutes and it was making him a bit self conscious.
“Wha? Oh, sorry,” you replied, giving him a soft smile before you nuzzled against his leg. You looked up at him again, only to find that he was now attempting to hide his face behind the pages of his magazine, hoping you wouldn’t catch sight of the smile that was tugging at his lips.
“Hey, Mammon. Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah sure,” he was glad to have something to talk about that he could distract himself with.
“What do you think of polyamory?” you asked, raising one of your hands to comb through what you could reach of his hair. You just loved how soft it was, and it had quickly become a habit whenever you two were talking that you would run your fingers through it as you were doing now.
“Eh? I dunno. Why?” Mammon sat his magazine down to give you his full attention. This was definitely an odd conversation topic, if there ever was one. He thought maybe Satan had given you some weird book recently, because it never would have occurred to him what you were about to ask.
“Well...I was wondering if you’d be open to trying something like that…?”
“Pfft, like you’d need anyone else with the Great Mammon to keep ya company!” he teased with a cocky grin. It was simple - there was no reason for you to be close to anyone else like that, because he was so good at making you happy...right?
“Oh,” you tried to shrug it off and turn your attention back to your DDD. This wasn’t how you had hoped this conversation would go, though you weren’t sure exactly how you had hoped it would go either.
But Mammon noticed the look on your face, and a small seed of doubt had started to take root in his heart. Just a tiny twinge of pain. The thought of you being any less than satisfied with him was one he spent a considerable amount of effort avoiding, but now it was creeping up on him.
“Why? Didya have someone in mind?”
He had only meant it as a joke, really. He wasn’t expecting you to answer. Or rather, he was hoping you wouldn’t. And when you didn’t respond immediately the sinking feeling in his gut only grew.
You looked up at Mammon and could see the strain in his smile. He was trying hard to look unaffected, but it was obvious to you that he wasn’t too keen on this idea. So you sat up, tucking one leg under yourself as you turned to face him on the sofa. You were having second thoughts now about bringing this up, but you knew that if you tried to back out of the conversation now, Mammon would surely only get more anxious and panicked.
“Well, I was thinking about Levi…” you answered, cautiously, carefully studying Mammon’s face as you tried to gauge his reaction. You knew he never would have entertained the idea if you had said Lucifer, but a small part of you hoped since he and Levi were pretty close, he’d be more receptive to the possibilities.
You would, of course, be wrong.
In fact, you saw the exact moment Mammon’s heart broke and his emotions shifted from insecurity, to hurt, to anger. You went to open your mouth, to try to explain, but he did not give you the opportunity.
“Him? Why wouldya wanna go out with that weeb?” he asked, his voice dripping with disdain.
“Hey! If you don’t like the idea just say so! You don’t have to attack Levi!” you stared at Mammon, shocked at his reaction. Hurt and tears wouldn’t have surprised you, but this anger was something else and you weren’t sure where it was coming from.
“Oh so ya gonna defend him?”
“Of course I’m going to defend him. He’s my best friend,” you snapped back, your eyes narrowing.
“And what am I then? Huh?”
“Mammon, that’s…”
“What, ya got one Avatar so you thought it would be easy to snag another? Who ya gonna go after next? Lucifer?!”
SLAP
“Don’t. You. Fucking. Dare.” by now, angry tears had started to gather in your eyes, and you could feel your hands shaking, your palm still stinging from the contact, “If you don’t like the idea, fine. But don’t you dare belittle my feelings for you or your brother.”
You glared at Mammon for another moment before swiftly pushing yourself off the sofa and heading towards his door. When your hand touched the door knob you paused, giving Mammon an opportunity to take back what he said, but all that was to be heard was a deafening silence.
Without another word, you left, slamming the door behind you.
——————
In the days that followed, you made a point to avoid both Mammon and Levi. Even though Levi wasn’t at fault, you knew spending time with him right now would only muddy the waters further, and that was the last thing you needed. So, if you saw one of them coming, you were quick to adjust your course and head the opposite direction.
And you knew avoiding them both wasn’t exactly the mature thing to do. But you didn’t know what else to do either.
Was this it? Were you just supposed to break up with Mammon?
The memory of what he had said to you still made your heart ache whenever you thought of it, even if you knew he had been speaking from a place of hurt. You wanted to believe he didn’t really see you that way; that he knew how much you loved him, even if he didn’t know anything else, because you didn’t think you’d be able to stay with someone who thought so little of you.
So what was the alternative? Trying to talk to him again?
The thought was enough to make you laugh. You were certain that would go over like a lead balloon. It’s not like anything would have changed since the last time you had spoken to him. You still felt how you felt, and he was opposed. Which would have been fine had he been respectful about rejecting the idea. But he hadn’t, and instead lashed out at you in his typical tsundere fashion, just dialed up to 10.
You let out a sigh as you flopped on your bed, finally back in the safety of your room after an exhausting day at RAD.
