AAaaaa you’re back! I wrote character ficlet things ages ago, but I missed some characters out, here are the rest °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Spider - He is the edge of the horizon, the brushstroke of colors that blend together, always promising something new. With him, the sky falls behind you, a rush of sensation and sound, as if you two can simply outrun the world, and sometimes, you almost believe you can.
Chun - She is the flickering of a candle, on the edge of an open window, buffeted by a storm. There are moments when she falters, when the shadows creep closer, but just cup your hands around her, and there, she finds her light again.
Hiemi - She is the blanket of moss, cradled in an ancient forest, suffocating in its silence. It is comfortable, she tells herself, on these old, quiet stones. Yet, she still reaches out, into the unseen spaces, seeking something more.
Hey there! Amazing story and characters! I'm really exited to see where it's going to go! And now, a while back you answered some jealousy ask but not for every characters, so if it's no trouble : how does Hiemi, Chou and An deal with jealousy?
Of course! I’ll even replicate the formatting of those asks so it’s all fair and done~
For those who hasn’t seen the rest:

An knows its better to not get involved, but like a child drawn to fire, she can’t help but to poke you. To flirt with you. To say words that turn into promises to you.
The harmless words pile up, grow heavier as they leave her tongue, until they warp into something more, until she’s crushed by the weight of denial and can no longer breathe without thinking of you just once.
She knows it when she sees you laughing with someone else and her heart twists in ways she’s never known it to possible. Her chest pulls, aches, and bleeds sorely and softly, like the cold ache of spring after winter snow.
An is more surprised about her feelings for you than she is about her own jealousy. Her life is full of fleeting interests, so she’s pretty shocked when her interest in you grows rather fades. Once in a relationship, she’s pretty secure! She’s a little needy for attention, but she’s not going to fight anyone she’s jealous of.

Fools. All of them. Herself included.
Hiemi feels her jaw tighten. She hates how clearly you’re outlined in her view, how your colors and chi call to her so easily, because she has no way of averting her attention. She can’t look away when others approach you, nor does she have the right to pull you away, even if she wants to.
It’s torture. This inability to ignore you, this cowardice to approach you–so unlike herself. Worse still that she finds herself envious of others, envious of that crowd that gathers around you so effortlessly.
What an idiot, she is.
Hiemi wallows a little bit. She doesn’t think it appropriate to approach or pursue, so to see others being able to talk to you so easily puts her in a mood. Once in a relationship, she’s a bit smug about being the one you chose, but still does get jealous fairly easily.

Chun’s face is tight and withdrawn, her mouth a thin, grim line.
The other spirit presses against your arm enticingly, and she has to snap her eyes away–fury and grief mixing unpleasantly in the pit of her stomach. She hears you call her name, but she doesn’t have an answer for you. Not one she’d like to give, anyways.
It hurts. So much of this feeling hurts, she doesn’t understand how poems and tirades and lives could be dedicated to this thing.
She wants to tear it out. Rip out her own heart. Become, at the very least, immobile to your laughs, you smiles, your sighs, so she does not ache whenever they are not directed to her.
Chun knows what she’s feeling and she hates it. Love is not on the agenda, she cannot afford to fall in love, especially with you, so when she gets jealous of others, she can’t help but to feel a bit of self-loathing. She’s better about this in a relationship, but communicating how she feels is still pretty difficult, so she probably mopes instead whenever she feels a little bit neglected.
No rush at all, but could get a romanced Hiemi conversation too?

The sky is, surprisingly, clear today. You look up, staring at the faux-sunlight as it shines down undisturbed onto the water. Mirror Swamps indeed—between the slightly green sky and the glare of the lotus leaves on the surface, it was hard to tell where the water ended and where the banks began.
“Focus.” Hiemi says next to you, tapping your hand when your movements began to cease. “You’re going to cut yourself again—watch the blade.”
“Oh.” You jolt back when her fingers begin to trail down your wrist to the handle of your knife. She angles the blade down and you shift your grip to compensate, smiling sheepishly. “Nothing gets past you, does it?”
“Not when it comes to you, it seems.” Satisfied that you’re no longer a hazard, Hiemi takes another lotus root and drags it across the giant wooden grater. Her voice pauses until she’s developed a smooth rhythm, before she speaks again. “As soon as you hold a knife, you’re suddenly liable to split yourself open with it.”
“How can you tell?” You frown and unstick the burdock slices from your steel. She raises an eyebrow and you quickly clarify. “How can you tell when I’m holding it wrong, I mean.”
“Intuition.” With the last of her load finished and properly soaking in the basin of water, Hiemi rinses her hands and then jabs you pointedly in the forehead. You grunt and her expression softens. “I can tell when you’re dazing off, and I know that when you’re like that, you forget what’s in your hands.”
You scoff defensively. “I’m not that clumsy.”
“No? What about the cut I healed yesterday?” Again, she touches your arm, though this time, it’s to run her index finger along the inside of your palm, tracing a wound that was no longer there. You scowl, and though she can’t see it, she smirks. “And what about last week when you tripped straight into the pond with your head in the clouds? Or the time before when—”
“Alright.” You groan, taking extra care to wipe down your knife and setting it aside pointedly. “Alright, you’ve made your point.”
But, as always, Hiemi doesn’t miss the chance to dig just a little more. “I sometimes wonder how you even managed to find this place, given that you zone out as soon as you walk any further than two steps.”
You roll your eyes skywards at the exaggeration, and she chuckles when you don’t answer right away. Irked, you sweep her into your arms and tap your forehead against her own, glaring into her eyes.
“It was probably fate.” You decide, smugly.
“Trite.” She sneers in response, but her arms wrap around your neck and she eases into your embrace. “And you’re the type to ruin even the most predestined of plans, so don’t go around telling me that you’d fall so easily into something like ‘fate’, hm?”

Qiu stiffens every time you do it, even if he comes to start expecting it. He glares at you halfheartedly, and if you’re in a formal setting will scold you lightly. Though if you’re on a date or something, he’ll just wordless squeeze your hand after a while. He doesn’t look your way for like ten minutes because he refuses to let you see his blush.
An hums mischievously each time you land one and tries to get you to actually kiss her on the lips lol. She’ll practically drape herself over you and tease you and won’t let you do anything productive until you do it~ She eventually just starts expecting you to do this all the time and will be pouty if you stop.
Min He’s eyes widen and she stares at you in awe. Like did you really just do that to her? Really? Lots of emotions just well up in her, and her face just turns beet red all the while. After lots of internal debate, she musters the courage to kiss your cheek as well. If she gets used to it, she’ll start inclining her face naturally for ease of access, haha.
Xinyi beams and leans his head onto your shoulders for a brief moment. Also peppers your cheek back with smooches of his own. He starts giving your surprise kisses all the time too ((though honestly he probably started doing this before you did)). This is the best way to cheer him up, 100%.
Kaski grunts and asks you if you want something from him. You trying to curry favor? What’s this, so suddenly? But then if you tell him you just felt like doing it, he tugs you closer and just presses his lips to yours with no other words. That remains his response every time you do it without fail.
Chun never really gets used to it lol. The first time you do it, she flushes and smacks your shoulder lightly and whines a bit. The next couple times you do it, she blushes and tries to ignore/chide you lightly for doing it. And after that, her ears still grow pink and she grumbles, but you notice her lightly touching where your lips were with gentle fingers.
Hiemi takes it in stride. She has no problems with this kind of easy affection, so long as you’re not over the top with it, and will squeeze your hand or touch your forehead to hers if she can! If you’re being suuper cheesy or embarrassing, she’ll groan and try to pull away though in a teasing manner lol.
Go Ro pauses in his work and turns to you: “Oh?” He smirks and strokes your cheek, his index finger curling over the shell of your ear. After that, the rest of the day is normal, but during the night, he makes it clear how he feels about that... If you do this regularly, he’ll also start leaning in expectantly without really noticing it. He’s a man run by habit.
Spider momentarily has a crisis at how cute it was. Hand claps over his cheek, you see his brain short circuit and his chi just overwhelms you for a bit. And then it settles, and he turns on his charm and tries to seduce you to somewhere private. Don’t do this too often, because he never really gets used to it and his heart implodes each time you do it.
No no no no you never apologise for rambling. Half the love of a CoG is the setting, for me, the other half is the characters. Fluffy facts for the rest, then? (As many or as little as you want, plz ramble ty <3)

Ooo. So based on something you said in the Ace!MC question, is it common for plant spirits not to have much of sexual desire? Do our plant spirits in the cast have much of a desire themselves by default?
That’s right! It’s not uncommon for plant spirits, and actually some divine beasts as well, to not have a lot of sexual desire. It’d be a foreign concept to them, something not previously necessary, so many end up just not indulging.
Go Ro and Hiemi actually have pretty low sex drives when not in a relationship, and even in a relationship, Hiemi is somewhat indifferent to sex. This could also attribute to the fact that they’re both old and jaded, however.
An, on the other hand, is young desire incarnate. She’s got a high sex drive, but it’s more like, she hasn’t felt that kind of pleasure before so she can’t help but indulge.
