i know ace is most tactile with soda and two-but, from what i’ve noticed, those two are the ones that initiate it the most (obvi soda has his crush and wtv the fuck her and two have)

and i could be seeing things wrong, but im pretty sure she initiates contact with darry the most. like when darry’s dancing (not often, im actually p sure he only dances dances in hth but i hv to watch it again to be sure anyways) she’s always got some type of physical contact with him.

like there’s this one part of hth where slightly like ever so slightly like there was no point in even doing it, lifts her off the ground. and she’s constantly hanging off his shoulder

not to mention during ggah, when nearly everyone’s talking about how darry nearly went soc and he wasn’t the same anymore/he’s not real greaser, ace chimes in with “i love you superman” right b4 he leaves. i’m pretty sure he doesn’t acknowledge it, at least brent!darry didn’t, but there’s something special about her being the only one to say something that’s not pushing him away.

and yeah soda said his lil “darrel never went soc” but that’s it. and that’s less not pushing him away and more stating a fact, or what he wants to be fact.

omg not to mention, that’s the only nickname darry has in the show. he’s called darrel the entire time except for when ace calls him superman and he calls himself darry. which could be nothing, or it could further imply that he essentially has nobody to lean on

So fun fact, I actually will never get over this image.

That’s his older sister. That’s the girl who helped him eat after his parents died, who let him complain about his brothers while also reminding him that they loved him, who ruffled his hair and made sure he was okay on days when he was quieter than normal, who knows when something is wrong with the other.

That’s her younger brother. That’s the boy who will bug her about going to the drive in because nobody else wants to see the same movie for the fifth time, who will steal her switchblade because he thinks it looks cool in his hand, who will call her out when she’s cheating in cards, who knows when something is wrong with the other.

Ace is his older sister who is making sure that he’s okay right after he watched his best friend die. She’s reaching for him to make sure he’s okay. He’s looking up at her because he knows that she’ll always have his back.
