⋆ Ace is a reserved, short-tempered sarcastic guy who's never enjoyed the company of anyone that wasn't his sister lacking him crucial social skills growing up. Ace was always a scrapper apparent by the fighting/harassment he endured, he found himself hating school as well as the fact he wasn't good at it even more. Getting himself into constant trouble and eventually dropping out led to an unfortunate serious of events that ended with him becoming homeless for approximatively 3 or 4 months before he was unintendedly recruited by The Houndzars. Ace has since then become a stern leader in charge of a small branch of the Houndzars dubbed "Pups" by Jane. Constantly trying to prove himself worthy to be a Houndzar, He takes his job often too seriously compared to his coworkers making his life all the more difficult on top of already being forced to congregate with others.

Ace constantly fights his adapted instincts to save himself when leading his group, stirring up conflicting emotions/decisions and learning to regulate himself after every fight. He generally has trouble consoling people let alone people younger than him so he finds himself constantly stressed with his group. Although Ace wont admit it, he's bonded well with Violet since his arrival and often looks out for the kid not only because he was tasked to but seeing part of himself in Violet, Ace hopes he really can guide him towards a bright future.

⋆ Ace's favorite dessert is any color or flavor of tiny cupcakes with sprinkles, ⋆ Ace's favorite music genre is rock and grunge, he's a casual rap fan as well. ⋆ Ace inherited fire magic from both his parents, however because he's never learned how to control it he constrained himself to hand-to-hand combat and ranged weapons. ⋆ Ace's body is made entirely out of fire made to mimic fur when undisturbed, it's harmless to touch in it's neutral state but can be dangerous to approach when it stands up. ⋆ Ace is pyrokinetic and can control small pre-existing fire sources allowing him to create a flamethrower with the lighter he carries at all times. He doesn't do it often though as he hates having to use his fire abilities. ⋆ Ace's favorite hobby is shadow boxing and model building. ⋆ Ace is straight edge and sexually straight. ⋆ Ace's mentor, Splash, gifted him a set of kunai's (6) on his 21st birthday and Ace has cherished them since.

so I'm pretty young and I haven't had any sexual experiences but I think I might be ace, how do I figure it out?

it’s important to realize that you don’t have to have had any sexual experiences to be able to know what your sexual orientation is, regardless of your sexuality, and you are never too young to know this kind of thing. that being said, your identity can still change over time and it’s just as valid.

as far as figuring it out- as long as you feel like it’s something you can identify with, you can use the term! you also might want to look into other ace spectrum identities- i’d recommend looking at one of these- and see if you can find one that fits better than just “asexual” might. 

i’d also recommend checking out the split attraction model . while it isn’t helpful for everyone, ace and/or aro-spec people often find it useful. basically, the split model states that people can experience attraction in five ways: sexual, romantic, sensual, platonic, and aesthetic (platonic attraction isn’t discussed in-depth here, but it is what leads to squishes). 

that page is pretty text-heavy, so here’s a brief summary of each type of attraction:

sexual attraction- the desire to be in a sexual relationship with someone (this is a physical kind of attraction, and is often connected with someone’s romantic and sensual orientations but not always!)

romantic attraction- the desire to be in a romantic relationship with someone 

sensual attraction- this is also a kind of physical kind of attraction, but does not inherently involve sex. involves wanting to kiss/hug/cuddle/hold hands with/etc. another person

platonic attraction- the desire to be in a platonic relationship (note: you can describe yourself as aplatonic if you don’t desire platonic relationships, but only if you are also aro-spec)

aesthetic attraction- best summarized as “look but don’t touch”, basically this describes finding someone/something attractive but not in one of the ways mentioned above (think about how you feel when you see a beautiful sunset)

it can be hard distinguishing between some of these, so i would recommend looking here and here for more info

it can take a while to figure it out, don’t worry! it took my 2+ years to find a good way to describe my identity from the first time i heard the word “asexual”, and there are still times when i’m not quite sure about it. don’t feel any pressure to label yourself right away, and remember it’s okay if you end up deciding you aren’t actually ace

Heyo Natalie so basically I have some questions about asexuality? So its possible for me to be like ~sexually aroused~but if like no specific person is the target of that feeling, or I have zero desire to like ~have sex~, would that be considered somehow asexual? Thank you for your help, I've been going through a confusing time lately

Yeah, no problem! So basically asexual is the lack of sexual attraction. I’ve never experienced it, but it’s ~definition is when a person interests you sexually w/o sexual context. 

Some asexual people have a high libido and can often be sexually aroused as you’ve described. Other asexual people have virtually no libido an/or desire to have sex. Your sex drive does not change your sexual identity. The only thing that matters is who you’re attracted to, if anyone, and how. (romantic, sexual, aesthetic, etc.) That’s the hard part, especially because there is a spectrum, and if you’re on it, it’s probably hard for you to define your attraction.

Remember that if you think one identity suits you, but it turns out later something else suits you better, that your identity is always valid no matter what.
