Lady Achelois
Hihi so I’ve noticed that Lady Achelois has NOTHING. ANYWHERE. so I experimented a little w my art style and drew this for her because I love my Lady.
greek mythology: achelois
achelois is a minor goddess. she is identified with the moon and its monthly cycle. achelois has been translated in english as “she who washes away pain”, and she was often looked to by the ancient greeks as a source of comfort and healing.

For @avatheartcup
Achelois is not a real goddess!
Explanation:
A while ago, I came across a Greek goddess named Achelois. She was apparently associated with pain relief, water, and the moon and either daughter of Asclepius and Epione or Zeus and Mnemosyne. Her name is said to mean "she who washes away pain". Anyway, I did a little research on her and found no reliable sources.
Her domain of water seems to be a mistake with Achelous, one of the Potamoi. Wikipedia has a little bit on Achelois, the following:
“
Achelois, surname of the Sirens, the daughters of Achelous.[2]
Achelois, a general name for water-nymphs, as in Columella, 3, where the companions of the Pegasids are called Acheloides.
Achelois, a daughter of Pierus and one of the Pierides.[4][5]"
According to oldestsearch.com, the first time
Achelois was used referencing this moon
"goddess" was

TL;DR: Achelois is a fake goddess!

achelois
/pronounced ache-lowis or Ἀχελωίς/
“the people turn to me as a cycle of healing. they look to the moons and pray to me for knowledge of their future. well, I’ve seen the future, and there’s only one way your struggle ends.”
achelois is the goddess of the moon; she is said to predate all other goddesses (excepting chaos), and her power is passive but ever-present. her cycles mark the passage of time for the people in the nameless city, and the house of the court of royals bearing her name has seniority in most matters.

i might change her name to something with "il" at the end-
