What would you do, to reclaim someone you loved and lost?  

Timelost: A Narec and Achilles-17 D2 Story 

This year, I participated in the D2 Valentines 2023 Art Event with my buddy @tenrouken. Together, we tell a small story of love and loss: What if one of our characters died? What would they do to bring the other back? How far would they go? Well, it turns out Narec is willing to pull an Osiris and bend the very nature of time to bring his love, Achilles-17, back from the dead. One can only imagine the consequences, but also, in the moment, there is only the feeling of reclamation. Since this was a collaborative effort, here is what Ten and I both worked on: Myself: I worked on the character models, coloring, the two ‘past’ panels, the story, and the comic layout and flow. Achilles-17 is my OC Ten: Worked on the story, the lettering, the background lines and colors, the special effects, the sundial handheld object. Narec is her Krill sunsinger OC. For  @d2artevents! Thank you for letting us collaborate to bring this story to life!

A little holiday fluff card as a present for my buddy Ten over on twitter. My striker boy Achilles-17, spending his holiday cheering up his boyfriend, a krill sunsinger namedd Narec. Happy Dawning, Destiny Players~

Little as I talk about it here, I actually enjoy playing Destiny 2, from time to time. Also, my work demands it of me: i am an artist for VelvetFang who is creating the DungeonsandDestiny Project. So the game has a special spot in my life right now, for more than one reason. I have a striker Titan from Destiny 2 that I draw a lot in my downtime, and I think about a lot when I’m not busy doing other things. He’s pretty prominent in my DnDestiny games that I do (for both work and pleasure) so he’s just one of those guys who has a whole story, back to front. Maybe, one day, I’ll tell you all a little bit about him. For now, know that his name is Achilles-17, his ghost is Styx, and he takes great pleasure in thundercrashing into all of his enemies. He’s just a really complicated design, which means he’s taken his sweet time being translated from head to paper. He was rezzed with horns, then lost them in the Red War, then got them back. It’s a whole thing.
